Lots of turbochargers have built in re-circ/anti-surge valves, including Garrett. Never heard of them being a common problem. I wouldn't really call bolting the boost control solenoid to the compressor housing as particularly integrated.

On paper the EFR series looks awesome.

For certain ones they do.

They are on par with the GTX series slighly slower spool but a little more peak power.

I have a efr 7064, my car will be down at the end of the month. Went with that size cause I plan on running 500whp later. These turbos don't really shine until you start turning the boost up. So people who buy these and run low boost won't see magic numbers lol. At least thats what i've been reading. But what size turbo did you go with?

From full race "This dyno chart compares EFR 6258 .64 A/R (red line) to Garrett GT2871R .64 A/R (blue line) both are at 23psi boost. It is easy to see the EFR spools much faster and delivers a more usable and faster responding powerband."

Of course this is at a fairly high PSI and Full-race is one of BWs biggest partners, they beta tested for them and everything so they are pretty bias. I believe this is the turbo that kmbkk is using.

Yes, I'm running the 6258 turbo. I can't post dyno runs yet as I'm still testing it. Once the kit is completed and final tuning is done I'll do a full write up of the kit.

So any pics of install, kinda curious where you put it.

This dyno chart doesn't show anything useful, IMO.

I have always despised dyno charts in which y = HP and x = MPH...

All dyno plots will have HP and TQ intersecting at 5252rpm. Red graph intersects (5252rpm) @ ~105KPH? Blue crosses 5252rpm @ 130+KPH.

This means that these two plots are either: not the same car, or were done in different gears; either way, it seems kind of useless for spool/powerband comparisons.

I urge you to look at the secondary Y axis on the right-hand side of the graph. Hopefully this will clue you in!

Ok, Boost is listed on the right side, done. How does that make this graph any more valid a comparison?? If anything, it just makes it more confusing.

Everything I said is still valid: these graphs are not overlaid evenly (matching rpm's) because they are either different vehicles, or were done in different gears (as I explained earlier based on the KPH @ 5252rpm for each plot).

I don't believe this graph is a good choice to compare TC response characteristics.

Or I'm too old and unpracticed to analyze dyno charts anymore, and am missing something major.

Are you on drugs? The graph clearly details when two different turbochargers spool and reach their desired boost level.

No it does not, because the graphs are not overlaid evenly. See where each HP/TQ lines intersect??? Thats 5252rpm. Notice that the two sets of curves intersect at completely different speeds?? Again, there are only two explanations for this: pulls were in different gears, or two completely different cars.

There are no torque measurements displayed on the chart, guy.
