Since the standard head unit is moving to a 6.1" touchscreen, I think they're going to get rid of the 5.8" upgraded premium head unit because who would pay extra for a slightly smaller screen?
In that case, the head unit from #655 would make sense as the new upgradeable head unit that looks heaps better than even the new standard head unit.

Thanks for sharing this info. I called in a few toyota/scion dealers in MA today and none had a clue about the Series 10. They had no idea about the availability and said they would be in touch if they got any info.

Can the headunit in the Series 10 be upgraded to include a NAV?

The only info my dealer had was availability to Puerto Rico of the 10 series. Apparently Scion Puerto Rico is only getting 9 10 series, and every dealer around the island can only sell one, meaning that the car will only be available by special order. Once 9 different dealers sell those 9 cars no more can be imported. I already put my order in! Besides this fact they didnt have a clue about anything else

If it's the new Pioneer unit I linked in post #655, yes, and the link to the add-on module is below the pictures. But the NYIAS Series 10 interior pictures showed a different headunit I can't find anywhere on the current product or archived areas, so can't say for sure what mine will have onboard.

The one from the Series 10 interior is the STANDARD 6.1-inch touchscreen head unit that's going to be on ALL 2014 Scion models. If you need to see more pictures of it, check out the pictures of the 2014 tC, it shows the new standard head unit that Scion is moving to.

Lexus has some of the craziest, shiniest colours out there.
their white has this wierd bluish tint to it.
This silver should have some kind of wierd off sheen or something that makes it stand out over all silvers (assuming its the same one)

I hope so! We'll have to compare color codes.

Forgive the obvious question, but does the MAP button mean nav is included or an available option?

Holy frameless rear view mirror, Batman! (No BRZ has that.)

Those AC controls look so much better. Headunit is fine also. Bluetooth/Bespoke and I'm happy.

I love how the new head unit is basically a big middle finger to current owners with the base HU and its stupid "hip" design.

Well considering that's the standard head unit, I believe navigation will now be a standard. I remember a reporter reviewing the 2014 tC in a video quoting a Scion representative about how Scion is the only "cheap" brand that's going for a touch screen interface with navigation as standard equipment.
