Shouldn't be an issue at all.

The installation instructions mention the automatic transmission in a couple of places, so I'd assume it fits automatic as well, but I'd like to get a confirmation too, as my BRZ is auto.

Well, I'm not gonna go, it's for her and one of her chick friends. If it happens, I'll stay home and install my kit. :p

to me it doesnt sound like the tone changed but (this is going to sound crazy) the engine sounds happier with the SC attached.

Interesting map. At first I was appalled by the massive drop in efficiency at higher flow rates, but then I realized that part of the map would almost never be seen on this engine anyway. In fact, it looks like it stays pretty damn efficient throughout the operating envelope of this engine with this supercharger. My hat's off to you guys, you did your homework on this impeller design. It looks like it can max out at just shy of 20psi and a touch over 400bhp after SC power consumption. Boost would probably be lower since someone running a much smaller pulley ought to be doing mods to help the engine breathe better anyway. So a little more power could be had with good supporting mods at a lower boost pressure. Just out of curiosity, did you guys measure the pressure drop across the throttle body? I know it's healthy size throttle body for the motor, and I'm just wondering at what point it starts to become a restriction if at all. |

My impressions were that the current smallest pulley available by Vortech, which I think is 12psi, is the max. Just inquiring, and I could have definitely read that wrong (read: I'm not a mechanic and don't know much if anything about this stuff). If this kit can handle 20psi then that would be great. My dillemma is that I want a F/I kit that comes ~250 whp stock, but with the ability to push past that if needed (maybe 300-350whp with possibly e85). Right now its mostly a waiting game to see if this is possible, but I'd like to hear more about the upper limits of this system ![]() Thanks guys, this system is looking great so far. Definitely impressed with Vortech's customer service & the results I've seen so far. |

I'm hoping some people can make a safe 270-280 whp on 93 octane...if so I'll be all over one, still waiting to see some tuner developments but I like how things are progressing. I'd love the power curve of a PD or a turbo, but above all I want something safe and less to maintain.

I'm sure it can make that power, but I'd be very weary of running the psi required to do so...
