Isn't that exactly why you want a twinscroll? Quicker spinup and better top end. No downside there. If they're making their own headers, they can easily make it twinscroll. If I go turbo, I'll want the quickest spinup I can get while still making big power at the top. I don't want a 4k spinup. I want a 2k VW-style spinup or, better yet, a 1500k BMW-style spinup.

![]() At most you will get 200-300 rpm quicker spool vs. a single scroll all else being equal. |

If you check on the S2Ki forums, you'll find that guys running twin-scroll manifolds are changing out their divided turbine housings for a standard turbine housing. A super fast spooling turbo will not make good power on the top end. While a nasty low end torque curve will shove your passenger momentarily back into his/her seat when you nail the throttle, it's a flat torque curve with big horsepower numbers that will keep them pinned there.

I can't wait for this thing to be finished up and out on the market. Good job Ptuning.
Eager to see the price on this kit. |

+1
I traded in my auto for a manual, so once I have the funds I'll be going with either this or Vortech. LOL. This looks almost irresistible. 300whp is my exact horsepower goal (although the base vortech is probably enough for me), and on pump gas! I don't think any other kit has achieved 300whp on 93 :O (please correct me if I'm wrong!) |

If you skip the cams, turbo selection, and proper (equal length, tuned, divided) manifold, sure, you'll get little to no advantage with a twinscroll. It's harder engineering, and what works well with single-scroll doesn't always work well with twin. A proper system is probably beyond the abilities of most kit makers and tuners, but PT seems to know where the turbo should go and all about flow, so maybe, just maybe, they could pull it off. After doing all the math, they'd have to spend a lot of dyno time with different turbines, housings, headers, and tunes to find a combo that will obliterate the competition and lead to tuner domination. Well, maybe they wouldn't have to swap headers too much. |

Question - Do you guys offer a more stealth look for the intercooler? (all black, no letters)
If I'm buying this I want a 100% stealth look. |

Is there turbo that gives slight horsepower boost? I want to buy turbo but i dont want it so powerful. Does that all come from tuning and the way settings are done?
