So how did it go, did you drive all the way out west for the Opticoat & Clear Bra? How much did it cost you, and how was their work?
Also, what parts of the car did you have the CB applied to? |

Quick bump. Hopefully somebody will be able to respond to this, because I'm still looking for a place that will do a good new car prep + Opticoat/Clearbra.

If you want both done in the same place just go to Kevin.
He has done many Opti-Coats before. You can trust him. |

I got my clear bra installed at Auto-Links along with the tint. I'd say i chose the two best place for Opti-coat and Clearbra + tint. |

Thank you! I'll keep Kevin as a top priority in my mind since he has so many recommendations.
I was just wondering though, is there an ORDER for opti-coating, clearbra, and rustproof? And what should be clearbra? I wouldn't want any exposed lines in any of the work I'd do to my car. THANKS!

The order is up to you.. If you want to be nice to your detailer do your rustproof after. If you don't care get the rustproof first. I don't think there needs to be an order of clearbra or opti-coat first. Just do what you want to first. |

I got clear bra on entire front bumper and nothing else. I didn't get partial hood coverage cause i didn't want ugly visible line, and full hood is too expensive. One of the good things about the twins is that the bumper extends to where the front hood is on most other cars, so i felt getting the bumper is enough. I find the price difference between the ones that i chose and other cheaper ones is like $20-$30. I'd rather get my car detailed at a proper dedicated detailing shop than some others who detail on their drive way or rent some garage shop for an hour or two. I mean heck, since i'm already spending hundreds of dollars getting this and that installed, no point be stingy on another $20 or so. I'd rather get everything properly installed the first time. So far i have not had a single reason to regret my decision

Autolinks is quality. I got my Pinnacle ceramic tints, Llumar AirBlue windshield tint and full hood, full bumper, full fenders and headlights clear bra, Compustar alarm and remote starter all done there.

I never said Auto Links was bad. I always recommend them. But they are pricey compared to other tint places I know. Especially if you just walk in and ask for pricing. They aren't the only good audio+alarm shop in GTA.
Kevin is also one of the best in the GTA. But there are many other detailers who do excellent work. There is no "best" There will always be complaints. |

If possible, apply OC on top of film. You get the benefits of the OC on the film; as opposed to under it (which will do nothing for you, and can make the film instal more difficult).
If you don't want any exposed lines you will need to wrap entire panels; if you do extended hood/fenders you'll have a line ~24" up the panels. A properly installed full panel should have no exposed edges aside from relief cuts. |
