Its kind of why I really dont think going to meets like the we had over the winter in parking lots in Moco and silver spring. They are always filled full of douchebaggery and idiotic people. Sticking to meets where you know the people can have a decent conversation with out wanting to stab your self is what its all about. Cars and coffee is usually a great turn out crowd as well, people go there knowing they will see different cars and not really talk smack but exchange information.

I have the same set...they work great! I went full stiff in the rear so the car rotates a little bit more than stock (BRZ) but it's very controllable and after learning it, I prefer it now.

I'm still on the second to softest setting in the rear and the softest setting in the front. I may readjust the rear just to get some more rotation out of it. But I love them, and they were really easy to install, compared to my other car.

Yeah, the rear is super easy and adjustments are obvioulsy just 2 allen nuts. The fronts were a little more involved but all in all a pretty easy install.

I should be doing my FA20Club header this weekend (should arrive Sat). Also waiting on my Eibach R2 coilovers to come in, guessing about 2 weeks until I get them.

I'm averaging 32mpg normally. A lot of highway, minimal play. Some stop and go. I've just got a light foot :P

I got 27.9 on the Atlantic City Drive including some traffic. Not bad considering 255 ZIIs front and rear, Stage 4 clutch that requires a lot of gas to get moving, and stage 1 flash

I have this one from a trip to the Outer Banks last year. It took ~3/4 of a tank to get there. Not bad for dealing with DC/Virginia traffic.

Man you guys got way better mileage than I did. I was surprised I was getting only 25-28 depending on the tank/direction.

It was great to see 100 miles on a quarter tank from the when I dropped my buddy off and drove home. Not cool to see 140 miles on a half tank 3 days later. Oh beltway traffic...

And Sunday night Russ went to a meet near his house on the way to the movies, and some little wanna be Vin Diesel kids wanted him to street race and we he respectfully declined they harassed him and made "bok bok" chicken noises at him. Stuff like that makes me appreciate when we all get together and actually have a good time hanging out
I've found that when a car is designed for a true enthusiast, Twins and Miatas as a perfect examples, that generally you find intelligent and quality people. Lots of Japanese stuff you get ricer types, American you get rednecks, German is snooty. Cars like this though, people who get cars buy them. I can have a conversation about sway bars, spring rates, and autocross, instead of oversized wheels and underglow. Nothing I like more than discussing theory and sharing experiences with people who get it.

The weirdest difference between the twin community and the Miata community is that the demographics skew toward very different age ranges. Miata folks tend to skew way older, twins younger, while MINI enthusiasts are more evenly distributed.

Also, I think having a relatively low amount of horsepower helps keeps some of the 'undesirables' away.

Yeah, I have no idea how they manage that. I'll admit, I tend to flog the car a bit, and most of my driving is low speed (under 55mph), but I'm lucky to see an average of 26mpg.
