Thanks for the link. This is the first time I've seen the blue seat inserts/stitching. Interesting...

On a seriouse note tho, I sure hope the FRS/BRZ do not have sun-roof as standard. I would be pisst. I do not need a track car with sunroof.
For scions i cant say. But i wouldn't be surprised if subaru made a "Tech/premium" type package that has sunroof, hids, fogs etc.

I can skip on the additions like dual climate control, don't like the headlight LED of the 86, and it has better looking tails than the 86. Can't wait to drive it and own it.
Agreed. All this "arrrgh I don't like the interior" stuff is completely lost on me I guess.

Anyone know if this low spec will have inferior mechanical components such as brake discs?

I don't mind that this is the low spec model as long as it Performs the same as the high spec model.

I'm sure that Toyota/Scion will be scrutnizing the new Genesis Coupe before they announce the pricing for the FR-S.

As a side note, much appreciation goes out to Hachi for all the info/pictures!

The fact that this is the low spec model will probably make this he lightest. This is a plus for those that cares about performance over looks.

I'm guessing this will be priced a little more than the civic si.

Looks like there is a white tach
http://wot.motortrend.com/officially...html/_mg_0506/

As for this announcement, my first impression was bad.
I feel like the interior might fall apart or feel brittle and fall into pieces if I sit inside. Especially those seats.

But now I think again, this is one hell of a cheap-ass interior. I'm inclined to say my 2010 Civic interior *looks* better (dash wise), and that's an economy car starting at $16k.

I think this car fulfilled its point.
Let's think about it, if anything was lost, it was purely cosmetic. From a performance perspective, you're still getting an 86 platform, albeit most likely cheaper.
They said they wanted it to be light. To be simple. And to be a blank canvas for whatever the end-user wants.
When I see it now, I can only think of the many things I want to change and upgrade, and to make it my "own" personal car (not riced out mind you).

The only thing left, which can ultimately make or break this car, is price.
