Those are the coilovers I'm thinking of getting. How do you like the ride so far? Do you have lots of clearance between your rim/tire & the coilover?

245 on 9.5 is barely stretched. 245 35 18 is rated for rim width 8.5-9.5" by most tire manufactures. lol

hey fellas, I see where you guys are coming from with getting meaty tires and all but i'm all about the stance life and going lower. I understand that our cars are track oriented and going from functional --> form is unrealistic but this is the lifestyle im more fond of. sorry if i disappointed people, but everyone has their own taste.

I have "meat" on my wheels (245's) for HPDE events, but I can appreciate the stretched look too. It looks cartoon-ish (in a good way) and I think that it's cool.
Don't hate. |

LOL thanks for the input. Clearly you're not about stance.

Enkei RPF1 SBC 18X9.5 +38 Stock Suspension
I've had these on for about 2 weeks now. These are on Continental ExtremeContact DW 245/35/18 with Rays Racing Lugnuts\Locks. When they were getting installed and the car was raised, they were worried the fronts were rubbing the spring, but once the car was lowered, there was clearance. Not very much clearance which I intend on getting coilovers for later, but this can be done. Looks outstanding in SBC on the Ultramarine color. Definitely lighter than the stock wheels and tires with this setup. I'm loving the width as well. Superb quality and I am very satisfied.

I haven't looked at springs much, but the Eibach springs looked decent. Just need a bit more clearance up front to be more comfortable. Some street coil overs are what I was looking at since they are thinner than the stock ones, but I worry about stiffening the ride too much. Lowest I'd drop is maybe an inch. Still want good clearance. Need to do a lot more research. |
