IHOP, or the international house of pancakes. International meaning only in the states. Yeah... It wasn't my idea, I was in Texas to oversee 'testing' on a new piece of kit that the Navy was buying. The representative from Ottawa thought I'd like it there and took me for breakfast. You could also get cheeze, not cheese, on your apple pie desert to go with your three pounds of pancakes... And I thought Florida had tainted my view of the states.
@Dimman While we're on the topic, you'd appreciate this. The 'testing' was of a variable clutch to go between a 200 hp motor and a boiler blower. The model I was sent to look at was basically an AC motor with a variable DC signal causing it to act as a break. Their test to see if it could lock up at to provide full power to the blower was to put a 200 hp motor in the input and output and see which one won. If the coupling/clutch could stay locked up as the output motors input current was ramped up then it should hold the fan just fine.... Right, I'm going to trust the output of two motors from a company that winds motors for a living. Lo and behold, the Navy bought them against my recommendation not to. And lo and behold they didn't work. The old setup allowed one blower to feed two boilers up to about 90% of full power on both boilers. The new setup has trouble keeping enough air going to one boiler for 90%. Of course I don't have any evidence, but I'm sure the Ottawa rep was getting a kick back from this purchase. No, we didn't. We're sorry for your suffering, but we refuse to inflect that on our own public. You bought him, no amount of buyers remorse can change that. You need to learn to live with your decisions young man even if it means this.
We tried to apologize for Brian Adams, you didn't listen. We tried to apologize for Celin Dion, you didn't listen. We even tried to apologize for Nickleback, and again you didn't listen. This time you have to live with what you've done. /touch love |

![]() I often refer to Canada as America's attic. You often forget it's there, you need to prep yourself before visiting, and you'll always be surprised by what you find there.
