I can tell most of you know nothing about SCION....
CHEAP CHEAPER CHEAPEST:

NO FOGS - does not come with the car but you can get it and let them install it for you at the dealership

CHEAP HU - it might look cheap but that HU is perfect and it does have BT and it works good in my brother's tC
NAV system is available the same way with any other scion... IF you want to pay for it.

LED DRL: really??????????? you guys crying for that tacky ass ricey leds? keep them on AUDIs pls... or just wait for the ricey ebay anzo headlights

HVAC: why on earth you need a dual zone AC in that small car????
yes it did look better, but this one works just as good and it is cheaper.

Mufflers ............... *facepalm................. you can get a TRD exhaust right there when you buy the car..... along with cold air intake, springs, struts etc.....
it will be all available the same way how they had it with all the other scion cars.

Heated seat - really???????? just get a lexus and st*u

Some of you really pissing me off with this ignorance.
crying about the price then crying about the car because it looks cheaper.
Great Post dude! Some people will whine about anything... Personally I love the red stitching and accent to match the car.. Like someone said it would be cool if you could get matching thread to go with the color of the car's.. That would be way Cool!

really?!?! "ridiculous" because the HVAC looks different???? yeah the whole car is fucked up! i would rather buy a Trabant at this point
Ok dude. We get it, you have a huge hardon for Scion and don't give a fuck about any of the missing options. You're calling all of us ignorant who want the same options shown in the Japanese model in the US model. Is it too much to ask? You ever walked out to a frost covered car in the morning when its only like 40 degrees to drive to work? Heated seats are nice.

Get over it.

Thanks

If LED headlights and GT86 console (head unit, HVAC) aren't options, this car is a no-go for me. Lot's of people here making comments about how those things aren't important...just because you don't want them doesn't mean someone else doesn't. The similarities between this car and the BRZ are going to be obvious to most people. If BRZs start popping up with trick headlights and nicer interiors, it's going to look bad for Scion to the general consumer.

The BRZ and GT 86/86 have a bit of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde thing going on: Bad boy fun toy to drive, but a somewhat understated look with a top notch interior. This, to me, broadens the appeal of the car as you might have 40 or 50 something guys getting into this car and feeling like they don't have to go without certain creature comforts.

If Scion sticks with the crappy interior they have now and don't offer options, I think it's going to severely limit the appeal of this car and I think Subaru will do better with the BRZ, even if it is more expensive.
Believe it or not, Scion/Toyota has a pretty good handle on what people wanted in this car, the fact this is a low-spec car will not hurt sales with their primary demographic, which no offense, you and I don't belong to. Yes, Scion will some lose sales to Subaru, but really, the cars come from the same place and the money goes to the same place.

So yes, no matter how many people complain about the FR-S it really does come down to if you want high spec, head to your Subaru dealer, if you want low-spec, you have Scion.

The taillights LOOK different in the first page pics..but i'm pretty sure it's just low lighting from the rear that makes them looked smoked...unfortunately.

Seeing what they've changed/removed doesn't surprise me one bit..it's scion after all.

I for one am more looking forward more to the BRZ, coming from a wrx and sti.

Being in Canada, What i'm NOT looking forward to about the BRZ is the poor Subaru Dealer network, Service experience, and the Awful financing rates Subaru has on anything "premium".. Even if both cars (FRS-BRZ)were the SAME price, The subaru would end up being $2000 more because of APR's . Is it the same in the US?

This is why you should buy a BRZ and not an FRS.

Looks really nice, a bit different then the Toyota GT86 but still very good.

Honestly, it's not the first time North Americans get the watered down version, why all these negativity? Be thankful that it's available for you to buy.

All these ungrateful haters out there.

No need for BBK unless more power under there. What is it, a EJ207 swap?
