Didn't even realize it's this weekend! That sounds like a good plan, anyone got suggestions for roads/locations?

Any of you East Bayers available Sunday morning? I've gotta drop the GF off in Castro Valley at 9am and I need to kill about 4 hours. Thinking about hitting Morgan Territory road. Anyone interested?

When will the Saturday AM drive start? I might tag along (& meet up those are from SF?) before heading to Fremont for the wheeldude event depending on the time schedule.

Ooo, nice! I forgot all about that area. Used to take that road (or Marshland+Vasco) when I used to live in Concord and visited friends in Livermore. Love the little elevation changes around the hilly area. Too bad I can't join, need to be back by 10am.

If a group does drive this road, same sensibilities apply, please be careful and drive within your limits, this road is quite narrow, if I remember correctly.

Yeah, I've done Morgan Territory a few times, and much of it is one lane. I'm open to any suggestions though. Need to do some location scouting out that way, so the more scenic, the more better.

On Saturday morning I was planning to do an early morning drive. Start at say 8AM from CV Peet's Coffee and drive Redwood Rd/Pinehurst for a loop. I do have to be done by around 9:00AM though because I have to be at Livermore Subaru for an oil change at 9:45. Or we could take Palomares and 84 again after which is exactly the way I would be going. But perhaps you guys want to do your own thing later and then go to the WD meet.

Sunday, I might be able to join you David! Never done Morgan before though. Other roads in that area might be Patterson Pass, and Tesla Rd. I drove Tesla the other day and it is very scenic but not all that challenging of a drive... lot of trucks, vans, towing trailers that kind of stuff on that road.

This sounds good to me. I've never driven Redwood, so that would be fun. And anyone who wants to continue on, we can do Palomares to 84 afterward? Why don't we try and meet up at 7:30 and give everyone time to get there.. then head out at 8?

Want to meet up Saturday morning and drive over? PM me where you're at in the city and we'll figure something out.

Cool, so I will suggest everyone park in the back behind the Peet's this time... the front lot gets crowded for some reason even at 730AM.

For those of you who joined us for the Palomares drive, it's the back area where we staged up just before we rolled out.
