Woahhh! Heat score 10,000 and Subaru owners tell me it gives them 100HP+!? is it true? lol

The smartest answer I got from a 7 year old: Looks the same! It is the same!

The designers said the only thing the Subaru motor and the D4S have in common are the mounting bolt holes. Lexus redesigned the motor using the same block blanks.
Im sure that's a bit of an overstatement but we get the idea. This is NOT the same motor!

Both transmissions are from Lexus.

The brakes and traction control system are mostly from Lexus.

The car was designed by Toyota and given to Suburb for production and assembly.

Toyota bought a big piece of Subaru too.

The car is mostly Toyota, then Lexus then Subaru but hardly so.

I hate this. Brand loyalty is the worst thing to happen to any car. Branding kills me, there should be no Scion, Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, Lincoln, etc... I used to be a Honda fan-boy and it took me years to realize how stupid I was being. Honda use to have the worst fan-boys, now Subaru has the worst fan-boys.

I think that most of the people that have Scions think that a lot of the people that bought Subaru's bought them because "Subaru is a better brand" and "I wouldn't be caught driving a Scion around." I'm sure there are a lot of people on here that are not like that but it is hard to deny that there are those people here.

Im going to wait for the 2014s to roll out but as of right now I want to get a BRZ for the HIDs, seats, and climate control cluster but i hate the front end.

If the FRS has those as options for 2014, Ill get it over the BRZ.

What are you smoking? First of all, D4S is a fuel delivery system INSIDE the FA20 (Subaru developed)..... I won't even comment on the rest of your post..

I honestly look at both cars and see no difference between the two. Small features here and there, but after working on and driving many of them...It's the same car.

Actually, you're wrong. The fuel injection system is Toyota's doing.

Basically, it is a Toyobaru. The car wouldn't have even been put into production if it wasn't for Toyota leading the way. Subaru was a big part as well, but Toyota was the catalyst which lead this car to where it is today.

Stop creating this rift between the "twins", hence, TWINS. You may refer back to twins if you get side tracked...

All it comes down to is cosmetic, interior, and technology package differences. Performance wise, it is the same car (if you ignore the slight suspension difference, which isn't a big deal at the end of the day).

The FRS is more 'bare bones' and the Subaru is more 'luxurious-ish'; BRZ has a little bit more in the accessories department; more interior features, different front, different lamps, etc. Nothing to fuss over.

The nice thing about the FRS (still have <3 for the BRZ, don't worry) is that it has a little bit more wiggle room for customizing because it comes so 'bare bones' as I said.

Both of the twins are great cars. Get over it people.

The single thing that most swayed me into buying a FR-S is that each of the three models (FR-S, Premium, Limited) came as packages. At first I thought I wanted the Limited but I am not in favor of spoilers on cars designed for the street. So, that knocked out the Limited. That left the Premium and the FR-S. Since I preferred the design of the FR-S front end and it was cheaper my decision was easy. The badge was my last concern.
