Verdict is in...stock brakes are fine for me with good pads, lines, and fluid. Stock wheels and tires + super old BFG R1 tires.

Car did a 1:51.35 with kw clubsports and stock wheels and tires at Gingerman. Current NASA spec Miata record is 1:50.190 for reference. This car is ffffaaaasssstttt!

In my opinion, if you're tracking these cars heavily, our Competition kits are a no-brainer. You buy our Sprint System for $2k...beat it to death for the years you own the car, and will likely get at least $1k back for it on the used market when you sell the car. You can then drop your OEM brakes back on the car when you sell it, and they won't be thrashed. Brakes will be something you don't have to think or worry about during your years of tracking the car. You'll always have a good pedal, no heat issues, and total confidence in your brakes.

The alternative is throwing OEM replacement parts on the car more frequently...and at a greater cost (that's the worst part, that OEM pad shapes are more money than the shape for our kit). The OEM replacements burn up, and you get no return on them. You throw away the dead metal bits and start over every time. You also don't have worry-free brakes during that time period. You'll blow more time prepping, bleeding, swapping pads, and generally getting filthy at the track.

My estimate is that the average guy who tracks his car regularly will save enough money in two seasons to completely pay our system off. That doesn't even include all the intangible costs of time and potential problems. That's just straight savings on pads, discs, fluid, and resale value. The lengthy list of system benefits is just gravy.

I'm saying this as a track enthusiast, not a salesman. I'm trying to help, not sell. Anyone who has ever talked with me will back up that I'm a no-BS type of guy. I really hate to see people p*ss their money away since everything else associated with tracking a car is expensive (tires, event fees, travel, etc.). I've been going to the track with my cars since 1999 (Integra Type-R, 350Z, C5 Z06, NA Miata), and I've spent more money than I care to think about...lol.

The weight, money, time, and headaches you save with our Competition Systems make them the only logical answer if you have a little extra coin to spare up front. Just run the numbers and it becomes obvious.

If you guys want to keep burning up the OEM shapes however, I'm happy to keep selling them to you to keep my kids fed.
I agree with you on this one, I have Carbotech xp10 front and rear and theyre almost done (prob 2 more track days of life left) At the rate I am tracking I should be at 75% the value of the sprint kit at the end of the year. Btw I noticed you guys ship it with the SS lines. If I already have the exact same lines can I get the kit minus the cost of the SS line?

Also I noticed you guys only have a front system. Will there be a rear system? Would a rear system be beneficial? As in more unsprung weight could be shed of the rear. I think AP has a 6/4 pot system for our car but thats overkill and heavier.

i've been eliminiating heat and fade problems by driving within the car's limits.

sure, 2-3 laps a time may be boring but it's an option

Yep...sometimes it takes burning up some OEM pad shapes to realize how fast the money starts to flow throwing spares at the car!

Yes, if you bought our Spiegler lines, we could sell you the kit and subtract out the price of the lines. No problem.

If you check out this thread in the brakes section, I've gone into detailed discussion on any potential rear setup several times. The bottom line is that it is a diminishing returns situation. The amount of money spent would be substantial for a minimal return in performance on the rear of these cars. If we did a truly weight-optimized system for the rear, we'd have to get rid of the parking brake, and most people don't want that. Thanks.
