Its a huge upgrade, its not just the same car with a few things different, its like a GT86 vs a Scion....a SCION....TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!!

Its definitely not a sidegrade.....definitely....

I don't know what the Scion "covenant" says, but what I've heard of Scion dealerships doing is to mark up the cars in other ways with stupid, pointless add-ons like BeSpoke, paint protection, leather, wheels, exhaust, etc.

TL;DR : They CAN have a market adjustment price increase WITHOUT add-ons.
Hmm clever way of screwing the customer haha. I got screwed on the dealer installed options. Mostly the rims, but the car itself.was priced at the MSRP.

At least it's Toyota's dream and not Scion's dream or the FR-S would have the same helmet styling as the tC!

Your Scion was built at the Gunma plant, which is operated by Fugi Heavy Industries, which is Subarus parent company...

Read this twice and let it sink in lol

But Toyota owns the 17% of Fuji Heavy industries that is... Subaru... and the 17% that specifically was the 86 project....so much maze to wander through. lol So yes, everything id built in a subaru plant and every part of it is Subaru, but The plant is Owned by Toyota and everything is paid for by Toyota. Kinda reminds you of GM and the government a while ago. Now this statement is true only for the 86 project Toyota has no hand in any other Subaru's projects. In fact Toyota paid a huge premium(31.11 billion yen ($291.1 million to be exact), in 2007-08 just to purchase the part of Subaru to make the 86 this deal included their factory. So Scion owners yes you do own a Toyota, in a way. And yes Subaru Owners you do own a Subaru in another way. It's a collab people, it's not just one of the other.

So... technically every couple of other BRZ owner don't know that their car is technically on paper and money and all that stuff a Toyota.Nothing to be ashamed of It's both great companies.

Bottom line is the cars are toyota's vision assembled with mostly subaru parts.

Comprehension is not your strong point.. I said I know where it's built, I know who built it.. But it still is a scion.. There is no... Wait NO, 4 wheel drive family sedan car that would be Subaru, and all cars they make except the BRZ.. And if the guy is telling me that I can't understand that I bought a Subaru, then I'm asking what idiot throws down 2-3 extra thousand for, as he claims, the same car

lmao much of this is fabrications

fhi≠subaru

17%shares≠ownership (not 86 project)

Gunma plant is not owned by Toyota or paid for by them

If you really want to get people here going try explaining how much of their car is legacy and impreza.
