Ill believe that the other guys screwed up. They put the fr-s down as a tc and I didnt notice until the contract signing and we had to go through and resign everything...

I am about to order one. They sell them at the dealer or online. Price is about $380 to $400.

Toyota TRD part number is PTR03-18130

Why not wait to see if its actually any better. Or has there been a thread I've looked over that they have tested it?

I only say that because that thread looks exactly like the Airaid thread when it first came out.

That thing never got replaced. it was wiring that was killing the car (grounding it out) This ECU is still the same. and its starting to piss me off......I apparently have a flashed ecu (so the program says).....But I have no mapswitching or anyway to tell its flashed other than the ecutek program. I'm also pulling that one ECM code every other day.

How about flashing it back to stock, then see if you get the codes then reflash it to the latest ecutek tune?

This should be way better than the Airaid. Everybody knows that intake was crappy, but I hear what you are saying. Nobody has done a dyno on the TRD CAI yet. They just say that is sounds good and it feels good. Plus nobody has done any data logging with it yet.

The first thing I would be doing is getting a new log to Dynotronics after I got it installed.

I was willing to try it out and have it ready for the dyno testing on the 20th. But I could be wasting $380.

I want a header but I heard the PPE headers were really loud. I was hoping Got3n was going to be the first one, and if it I sounded good, I was going to jump onto it.

But the header might be the best bang for the buck....
