Cruise night at Lowes Abbingdon / BelAir

I know most of you are getting ready for the big AC meet but if anyone is interested or just plain bored tonight there is a friendly thing here.

http://www.lowescruise.com

My husband may take the brz tonight if I can bare the separation anxiety.

Just throwing it out there.

PS if you go to the site turn the vol down or mute, they have some serious Journey pumpin on the home page.

Drifting is bad for groceries, heh.

My son likes to egg me on. I swear he likes the car as much as I do, even if he can't drive it. "Come on, Dad, slide it around the corner."

We're coming home from the grocery store, a quick essentials run. Laundry soap, deodorant, soda. I grabbed a bag of Utz popcorn. He snagged Oreo bites. We're such healthy eaters. Into the trunk it goes.

So we're coming back, and we're approaching a nice wide sweeping left turn. I'll commonly use this one to kick the tail out - the road I'm turning onto is four lanes wide and as it's a protected left there's nobody else out there. The light turns green as we approach. I nail the throttle and toss it in, with predictable results.

As I do so, I hear this massive BANG from the trunk. Oh, shit. The apartment isn't much further, so I make my way there, and pop the trunk.

Yep. The 12 pack of Coke slid into the bag of popcorn at full force, and smashed it into the side of the trunk, popping it open. Popcorn everywhere. So much for my snack. At least the trunk smells like buttered popcorn now.

This is what I was talking about. Now they are onto my brothers car. Notice the marks on the glass.

that looks like a poor attempt at a break in.....or a honey badger attack...

all the bird droppings could be a bird attacking it's reflection in the window maybe?

Washed/waxed the car finally at my parents house. DGM is shiny!

Also adjusted the clutch pedal, finally. No clue why I didn't do that sooner ...

I really need to get some sort of net for the back of mine or something. I went to the store when we were sick and got some chicken noodle soup and a couple sodas. I drove the car like a grandma and still had soup cans and soda bottles everywhere. Didn't help that I had the back seat folded down. I ended up getting pelted by a gatorade bottle when some jackass decided he was going to slam on his brakes and then realize his turn wasn't for another couple of blocks. >.<

Well, fitting an oil cooler is hard work. The turn signal housing really gets in the way. In other news, 6000K.

Ditto. Think I'm going to install the cargo hook so I can hang a bag. Worked great on the VW.

My recent story has to do with a nice dinner with some friends and then a canyon drive home. I ended up having to pull out the trunk carpet and shampooing the BBQ sauce off of it. On the upside, the drive was a blast.

Yikes, you need a garage. I'd be scared to get sand in my whole everything.

My high-tech plywood panel and yoga mat keep everything tip-top.
