Also, @2forme, given your experience with this unit, do you know if there's a way to get it to resume an app such as mx player or winamp instead of the built in music player? Kinda a pain to have to shut one off and open the other every time, then select the music
A bit late but the beatsonc kit is alright still need to mod the sides to fit onto the head unit tho.

I just rooted my car yesterday but totally read the directions wrong and factory reset many headunit. Any way to get back the navi problem or a better one that someone could suggest.

So, after rooting, what BT profiles does this unit support?

I'm thinking I'm officially over the AppRadio2. I've not yet got it working & I just want something that works. My plan to use my old Evo for the permanently connected device fell short when ARLiberator requires AOS 3.0+ & the Evo HDMI out doesn't work on anything past 2.3.x. A regular ol' FUBAR SNAFU . . .

My head unit has an option in settings to install from file browser. It will allow you to install sygic (and other stored apks, if you have them) without needing to setup google play and install a separate file browser.

well im not entirely sure what i did to make it all work, but my HU is up and running again, so now im back with even more questions!

i purchased the 15$ OBD II bluetooth adapter from amazon and although it does work, it seems to have a very unstable connection. Is this from the adapter or from my USB bluetooth receiver? Does anyone have any experience with this adapter that could tell me one way or the other?

Scantool OBDLink XM Bluetooth is probably what you're looking for.

Anyone see this? Android 4.0 (must have for me) and a lot better hardware specs. I'm not sure if we could make it fit though. About to contact the supplier to inquire about unit prices.

I had a very similar one - it's dual boot, meaning the FM, Bluetooth, DVD etc part of it it is not handled by Android.

Yeah it could either play sound from the "radio" on the radio side or android side, or Android only. It couldn't play both at the same time.

It was decent as a simple radio but the Android side of things was useless to me.

Ah, dang. I was hoping I stumbled across something worthwhile. I remember everyone mentioning about the dual boot headunits and their worthlessness.

Thanks for the quick info though. Still waiting on that 4.0 project butter goodness.

Ok, so now that I've read through all the Android head unit threads I could find. I've looked at a lot of units from even more suppliers on eBay...the question I have is: which one?
@2forme - Are you still using the unit in the beginning of this thread, or have you switched again?
