I'm a pretty small/light dude but I don't have issues with the stock 3-point at autoX. I do the "roll-up" trick where I tighten the belt with the seat back and roll it up into driving position and I never come lose.

You might want to check this out: http://www.cg-lock.com/faq.html

I've been using it for the last several events and it works great.

Just an FYI. I've been running my harness at a few autocrosses now and the car will start to give me a seat belt warning chime mid run (every run at the last event, for some reason).

Sooo, using Techstream I was able to turn off the chime (or I believe it's off, it passed my quick test around the block).

Here's the updated thread on our harness bar. We've sold a bunch of them and everyone is enjoying them thoroughly. They have a nice range of adjustment, and stiffen the car up with a perfectly straight load path across the B pillars, and four attachment points...(two are at the top of the rear seat belts). Despite being extremely strong, it weighs only 14.5 lbs.

The front seats retain full range of movement fore and aft, and you don't have to cut or permanently change anything on the car to install it (install manual here). It can be completely installed and removed without anyone ever even knowing it was in there.

We designed the bar so that at the top level of adjustment it is just about perfectly level with the top of the OEM seat. Therefore, no worries about having a sharp downward angle towards your harness attachment points. The rear seats still fold down, and you can still fit four race tires and all your gear in the car with it installed.

It also doesn't interfere in any way with the OEM seat belt, so you can still use that on the street.

For those of you using racing harnesses, how do you disable the OEM seatbelt warning sound? Does it shut up after a while or?

You can use the Techstream utility or have the dealer disable it. I am just getting around to installing my Rallye 3 this weekend, I was going to see if I could just pull the belt behind the seat and plug it in.

It does go off but then it will come back on again.
