I personally can not, but one of our sales guys probably can! I've heard them work their magic before, so I bet they can figure out whatever they need to do to make it work.

So give us a call, it's always worth a shot

Glad I waited to get these. Seems like Borla is in over their head and don't know how to properly fix it. Multiple people have said the replacements are still warped. Onto the next header I guess.

Jegs has these for a cheaper price than any vendor on here. Maybe wait until their "updated tooling" and order from here?
I ordered from a vendor on the forums because they had them in stock, I did not mind paying extra to support them.
Now it seems by the time I get a functional header that doesn't leak, I could have just waited for JEGS to have them in stock.

I'll see how people like the rev works UEL header. It's $700 and it looks pretty good. I like knowing a shop is doing the work, rather than a large company who just mass produces these. Hopefully because rev works does their work diligently on each header they put together, they will not have these kind of imperfections.

Borla header is turning into the chirping fuel pump. They throw as many replacements as they can at it without actually CHANGING THE PART itself.

They will replace it no hassle.

The only part where you need luck is that the new header isn't warped

A good machine shop would only charge about $20 to mill it. I've done that several times with turbo manifolds.

How would we know when they will have a new batch of headers with the flanges problem fixed?

My THIRD Borla UEL header arrived on Friday via warranty replacement after I had already left for the track. I wasn't able to check it out until earlier today.

I can't believe this, but the header to overpipe flange is STILL warped on this third header. A Borla rep even tried to convince me in our last email exchange after having FedEx pick up the first two warped headers with this:

Quote:
I have had a chance to look over quite a few of the new headers being sent out and I am very confident your newest piece will be free of any defects.
Welp, they are still shipping with defects, at least in the header to overpipe flange.

1-2mm gaps on either side of the flange. Won't seal properly with this defect. The block to header flanges are perfectly flat and would likely seal ok, but that doesn't matter. I paid for flat flanges after waiting several weeks on the newest production run with confirmation from Borla:

Quote:
We are modifying the welding process to add a heat sink which will draw heat out of the headers faster during large production runs, and making the obvious change of leaving the headers in the fixtures considerably longer to guarantee the flanges stay flat when they are removed. We are also able to change the method of welding the headers so that the metal will never get as hot as it was originally in the first production run. Combined with intense quality checks to ensure the flatness of the flanges, we are confident that we will be able to eliminate the problem which was present in the first production run.
They are still shipping headers with warped flanges after all that BS and waiting and emails and two replacements. Unbelievable. I'm initiating a full refund for my original purchase order and will consider getting a Rev Works UEL header now.

@ATL BRZ. That looks like less than 1mm to my tired eyes. With a graphite type gasket I think it should seal. Regardless, I agree with the principle that if you buy something it should defect free.

May I ask what type of gasket you were planning to use?
