The other method, which freaks people out, is to add a tiny amount of high quality ash free 2 stroke oil when you fill up the tank.
I used it at 1:200 for 3 years in my last vehicle which also had a HPFP and the only effects were a quieter engine, lower fuel consumption and I hope, a longer lasting engine and fuel system.
That was a common rail turbo diesel and 1:1000 seems to be enough to shut the chirp up in this case.
If mine starts chirping and Toyota haven't got a fix then I wont hesitate to add 2T because it makes sense to me and nobody using it has reported any problems as far as i'm aware?

The two-stroke oil didn't work for me, but as of today I have a new fuel pump and no noise. I will keep using the the two stroke oil because I see no down-side in doing that.

Oh, no I have no choice but to use gas with ethanol, that is all there is in this part of the world.

You would hope they imported a barrel of ethanol to Japan and mixed it with their fuel to recreate and solve the problem. Let's hope it's a modified pump and not more of the same.
I think the first 2T ratio tried was 1:500 and then someone found that 1:1000 still worked. Maybe that's a bit light on but maintaining the lighter ratio might well prevent it starting?

Can you let us know how it goes? I think most of the posts here are from chirpers, pissed off and happy and when someone shuts it up they don't always post the good news.

GOOD NEW EVERYONE!

Just got done talking to Toyota and they have created a brand new fuel pump for this car that fixes the chirp problem.

Its not just a replacement, its an actual new pump that address the chirp.

Get in to your dealership and get your shit fixed!

I was told by the service manager that Toyota corp rep said that there was a brand new FP created because of this issue.

I've actually had a good amount of interaction with this guy. He sent my video to the regional Toyota Corp rep who said that toyota corp released a new fuel pump for this car under the same part number to address this issue and they needed to check the released date for my Fuel Pump (which they just installed a few weeks ago) to see if I had been given one of the old pumps or one of the new ones.

He actually went out of his way and did the research, then contacted the people who could go further.

The copied down a code off of my Fuel Pump (not the part number) and sent it to the Regional Corp rep who is going to let us know whether I was given the old version of the pump as a replacement in which case I'll be sent the new version of the pump, or if I was given a new version with a faulty valve and just need it swapped out.

In any case, he is just relaying what Toyota Corp told him about the fuel pump chirp.

I noticed the sound when I first got the car lasst month but it wasn't too loud so I didn't think anything of it. But once the idling came about the sound was annoying as shit so I took it into the dealer the day before yesterday and they replaced the Fuel Pump and I'm getting my car back today. I must say it sucked driving the loaner Camry after being in my FRS lol.

i supposedly got the new pump today, though i do not see how it differs from the original pump. at least, the parts numbers appear to be the same. only difference i see is a new part number on the o-ring for the "new" pump. is my car chirping right now? no... do i think the chirp will return? id bet on it.

anyone out there see how the new o-ring could be a solution?

It wouldn't make sense to create a new part number for what is likely a change in materials or a couple internal parts, they'll likely have a new REVISION which will never be seen outside the engineering/manufacturing staff involved.

That being said there will be a lot number or some sort of tracking involved with it but that really shouldn't worry us. A new TSB will likely be published with expanded VIN ranges if a more permanent solution occurs.

While still skeptical that a truly fixed fuel pump is out there, it's at least promising that Toyota Corp isn't blowing you off.
