i think that's innovates biggest issue with this. they handled it poorly, and will probably lose some potential customer over it, valid concerns or not. |

I make my living in sales and I can tell you this, getting people excited about "what's coming" isn't worth the risk of what happens when it doesn't. I always say: "it doesn't exist, until it exists and when it does, I'll promote it and sell it."
I've been instructed to "build hype" on multiple occasions only to get burned by the company resulting in my relationship being impacted with my clients. Now when I'm told to go out build hype my reply is: "is it ready yet?.. No? Ok let me know when it's actually for sale and I'll go sell it." I've been drastically more successful (and more consistently so) by utilizing and training the SWAT strategy: Sell What's Available Today.

You would be amazed at how different some dyno sheet from outside USA compare to the same kit in USA Dynos.... How can you explain a kit making 70 whp in say Australia or Japan and then making 35 here? (RANDOM numbers, but illustrative examples)

There is only one industry dyno standard and that is the Dynojet SAE Smoothing 5 standard. That is what I want to see for the Stage 1 and Stage 2 kit.

This kit is dead in the water.
If innovate already doesn't respond to queries from potential consumers and fails to meet their goals of release dates what makes you think they are going to stand behind their product if an issue develops? Could this be a good supercharger? Yes, but the lack of support I think you will receive from them will keep it from being that. |

I'm from Europe and on our most popular dyno, the Maha we have never been able to reproduce the number that US get on their dyno.
I have been on Subaru GC8, Subaru STI, Audi I5T, VW R32, vw TDi...... we never get your number's. We are way less gain than in US for the same mod and we have better gas. For exemple a Audi I5T 2.2 liter with a Garret GT3071R kit from 034 motorsport will read at least 30 whp less increase in WHP here in Europe. Or on the vw R32 scene in US with just a CAI they see gain of 10-15 WHP where we have hard time to get 5 crank HP and so on. So for me the Dynojet are happy customer Dyno. I don't realy explain why but it's what I have see from the different platform I have been modifying the past 15-20 year. One of the famous audi I5T tuning guy Mihnea from MRC who went to tune many high HP audi in US said in the past that the number he got in US when he went to tune Audi their was not possible on our dyno. He said that US dyno was over sensible. I said this to me when tuning my Audi RS2. But in the end when you compare DYNOJET to DYNOJET you get an idea of what is better mod. Just when I see difference of 5 Whp on Dynojet I think it's something that I would never be able to feel with my super accurate but dyno :-) and will maybe change my 0-60 time by 0,05 second. Just look on official chart of OEM car like porsche, Bmw... and different model with 60 HP more are 0,5 second faster like 996 carrera to 996 GT3 [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_996"]Porsche 996 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] |

If you're talking about different run modes on stuff like dyno dynamics then that's nothing to do with different countries. Of course different fuels may produce different numbers, but that wasn't the statement. The statement was that dynos read different in 'forrin' lands, which is bullshit if the dynos are run in the same manner. |

Like I further explained in my next post, there are several factors and gas is one of them. Lastly, if you would have the slightest idea if what numbers this kit was producing in USA, maybe you wouldn't be arguing with me at all....

The most important thing for any graph being released is that it also shows a base run of the standard car (That was run on the same dyno) on the same graph. A dyno showing a kit making 300hp could also show the stock motor making 200hp.
I still fail to understand the "USA numbers' arguement. Its the differece you're looking for, the difference between the stock base line and the new line. The graph could have no numbers on the y axis at all, it would still tell the story. |

The argument is really not an argument, its an opinion based on numbers i've seen of the same kit dynoed in Japan and Australia, then dynoed in the USA, and it made +70 whp in Aus and Jap, but made +35 whp in USA (comparing baselines from each location to runs in each location). (all hypothetical numbers but to show there was a noticeable difference). It doesn't mean there is magic pixie dust in Jap or Aus, but that factors, like gas are different. That is all....
