From my understanding and from what I know based on their website it doesn't matter. You will still have to go through all their stages just as you would with NASA. What it may do is allow you to advance through them faster. It even mentions those who may be licensed with different sanctions are not exempt to their process due to insurance purposes (which I can understand).

Yeah I was just looking and I understand that. I am starting from the beginning so either club I would have to go threw the paces. These guys seem really professional have a fair price and host a lot of events so I think is worth giving them a try and see how I like it.

Yeah you should check out NASA AZ as well if you get the opportunity to, it's really like one big giant family, with BBQs after events and such. Definitely something to consider!

I am looking at all of the national clubs including NASA I am also looking for clubs that are active in Michigan which is were NASA is lacking. Michigan has a huge number of race tracks and NASA only uses 2 of them and they only go to each one once a year.

You know I'll be there and I want to try NASA as well if I get enough events in down here in Michigan I won't be stuck in hpde 1 for 2 years so having a membership would be worth it.

Are you certain they are not more active in MI? Many of the regions individual forums are not as active as per se the AZ one but last I was looking at the MI schedule it is pretty full of events. You have to understand the season in MI is less than half of what it is here in AZ. I am from MI myself and last I was active there there was plenty of events. AZ practically goes year round with only a couple months where NASA essentially resets for the year. NASA is usually cheaper in the long run too. If anything ProAuto doesn't have events nearly as much as NASA does. Either way they are both an opportunity to become a true enthusiast however, I feel in the long run NASA has the most to offer.

I'd like to go to AMP but this Saturday is a no go for me since I work that night...also noise regulations are my kryptonite right now.

Here is the schedule I saw on their site they hit gingerman raceway twice a year and everything else is in Indiana, Ohio and Illinois.

http://www.nasagreatlakes.com/season/

Three balls racing goes there about 5 times a year and gingerman has 4 open track days hosted by the track instead of a club. This would be like Firebird to people in Phoenix for me in Michigan. I will most likely go with whatever club races this track the most and only visit one of the other tracks once or twice a season. My main focus will still be AutoX which is at the Silver dome. I will definitely give NASA a try and the message boards say they are looking to expand the amount of events in Michigan and my even include Belle Isle. I am not saying in anyway that NASA is a bad club I don't have any experience with them to make a judgment call on which one I prefer as far as quality goes. From the outside looking in I'm strictly going off of quantity of events near my town.

So I know most of you have Scions and not subaru's but just curious has anyone taken off a subaru badge taken it apart and painted it? I'm about to venture into that this weekend. I've read a few write ups but wanted to know if anyone here has done it so i'll have an idea of how much a pain in the ass it's gonna be...
