For me it's 86 frs whatever all the way I like everything about it and I like everything about it 10xs more then the brz but that's just my opinion. And idc if it's a scion I actually like what scion stands for, that it is geared towards a younger group but then again I'm probably one of the youngest people that will be buying this car the second it hits the lots

A hard decision
Lots going in favour of the 86 Nice trim Nice from end 5year warranty Price advantage ? BRZ Raw The potential of more outrageous body kits like the STi concept The petrol heads favourite Decisions decisions Well I've made mine as chairman of the uk biggest Subaru show they would hunt me down and hang me from. The nearest lampost with a exhaust inserted where the sun doesn't shine BRZ for me Bring it on |

Toyota in the UK since the disappearance of great cars like the MR2 ,celica and supra have unfortunely become middle aged car buyers favourites the 86 will get those customers back
Subaru in Uk has become the petrol heads favourite for the last 14/15 years since the Impreza came out and took over as their choice This new direction for Subaru owners will be interesting to see how the hardcore AWD subaru take to a sports coupe which has never been seen since the coupe (sorry cant remember the name as advancing years catch up on me) in the mid 80s |

It's funny how some of you guys say the rear end and interior is different. I can't see any differences but up front. I like the 86 better and I realized that this car will look better with 18''s wheels instead of 17''s.

86 has:
More aggressive front bumper Better Tail Lights Better Rear End w/o spoiler iPod dock BRZ has: Better Headlights and Fog Lights Plasma Blue paint In-dash Navi (easier to replace with a Carputer than in 86) The Plasma Blue is what is really doing it for me right now, so I'm leaning towards a BRZ. I anticipate much mixing and matching (like installing the top-of-the-line 86's digital LED gauges, for example). |

You do realize that the tail lights are the same, right? The spoiler is optional, so your second point has as much validity as the former. BRZ will most likely have the iPod dock option as well. I don't see why they wouldn't. The in-dash navi is optional for both cars (depending on trim level) I think you are reading too much into those specific pics of those specific cars. The debate is the cars in general, not a showdown between the 2 cars from the show. Main differences: front bumpers, headlights/fogs/leds, side vents, interior color/materials, and the one that apparently has the largest influence on a lot of people (due to brand prejudice and other factors) is the badge. Everything else is essentially the same (as far as we know) |

The gauges look awful on the BRZ compared to the 86. Overall I think the 86 Looks better, and the front clip is much nicer without that awful black plastic insert. I can see from a logistics standpoint why they made two separate cars, but I for one hate badge engineered cars, just make one. I will most likely end up with an FR-S, but I see no reason it needs to be a Scion :\
