Even though Scion is a young company, they should have it under Toyota from the beginnig. Considering Scion barely have nice cars to sell and that some of Toyota's car are too boring. I just wanted the FRS to have the Toyota badge! Idk that's just my opinion.

You said there were no trip options in the states, we have three. Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ Premium, and BRZ Limited. If you want what Japan has, spend the ridiculous amount of money to get their parts and make it yourself, problem solved.

Frist off, BRZ Premium and FR-S share almost identical trim levels and the BRZ has a different bumper design. Hence why the FR-S should be released here in the states as a Toyota. Secondly when I said trim level I ment several trim options I mean different seats, interior features and navigation equipment. I'm already in the process of converting it. I'm sure a lot of members on here wouldn't mind those extra features as well if given a choice. If you're into a fully stripped car that's what the RC trim offers and it'll definately be even more affordable then the FR-S if you want a bare bones stock car.

All I am seeing from this is that you are still getting what you want, just going to the JDM/Euro market to get it. Sure, it may take a bit longer to get the parts, but you can still do it. I fail to see a reason for your griping when the options are still available to you.

The entire point I'm trying to get at is why we even have to go through different markets to get options that are easily available to the rest of the world. For those of us who did proceed with the conversion it takes time and effort to install.

I'm pushing for variety in trim options, if it was easily available state side I would not be complaining.

Options variety pushes cost up and Scion was built on the philosophy of well priced, mono-spec vehicles. I'm very happy with what I have, and I'm even more happy that it cost $25k and not 27, 28, 29k+.

I think the dilemma came with the FR-S. If I'm not mistaken, and I may very well be, the xB, xD, tC, were all exclusively USDM (Canada too) cars. The FR-S wasn't, and shoving it into the whole mono-spec line doesn't work unless that one spec is fully loaded. The other thing was dealer installed cosmetic options, which seem to be gone from the brand now.

It's a brand identity crisis if I ever saw it.

I agree with everything except that one part.

Leather can last you forever if you take care of it. Cloth seats won't last you forever.

Well Lexus could have a entry level luxury car but they don't want one so Toyota has no other choice but to use scion. But scion would still have the young crowd in mind kind of cause entry level luxury cars are targeted for people 25 year old and up crowd if your looking at price of the ilx and verono.

When scion started it was for the young crowd (that are just starting to drive or wanted a car that was easy too customize or something like that. Thats were the tc,xb,xd, and former xa stood. Don't qoute me on this part) the fr-s kinda change that since it cheap 25,000 sports car but still aftermarket friendly and they were kinda was looking at the older group of people that was at least 20 and above or somewhere around there. Just my opinion.

Other than that I think they should just make another ground up car but on a platform that exist and make it a entry level luxury for the brand and see how that takes off.

Stop messing around. Just bring back the MR2, Toyota. Maybe even the Supra too!

That changes the suspension tuning as the BRZ is tuned to understeer more than the 86, it also doesn't offer the under car covers that reduce the coefficient of drag, nor does it offer the upgraded brakes. The BRZ Limited is also missing a bunch of other nick nacks such as the knee pads and quite frankly, on a personal note, I don't like it's front bumper/grill.

Oh and the only Subaru dealership within a 2 hour drive from me has been to court for fraud more than I thought was possible before your business could be shut down. That's my case though, not sure about anyone else.

We still have far less than what is offered anywhere else in the world. The point is we shouldn't have to order in the parts from Japan. No other markets that sell these cars do. We're the only ones that were screwed out of them. Oh and I've mentioned many times on this forum that I've tried to get those parts but Toyota refuses to give me the part numbers, let alone order them.

I agree. What the Series 10 FR-S got, should be optional for the FR-S at the very least.
