XM Snap + 3 months $20

Found this on the RFD forums and thought I'd share with everyone here.
https://www.wagjag.com/

Wagjag is having a group buy (through SiriusXM Canada) for the XM Snap. It comes with a free 3 month subscription and there is no additional activation or musical royalty fee. Just be sure to call in to cancel or negotiate before the 3 months is up, or else you'll be paying the crazy $15+ /month or whatever it is they usually charge.

This should be great for the FRS owners like myself who don't want to pony up $300+ for a new head unit.

Cheers,
Az

Not having had satellite radio before...is $15/month really a bad price?

How does one avoid paying that if that's the going rate?

I guess it's a matter of perspective. $9/month is the absolute most I would pay. There's always promotions going on.

It might be more difficult for portable units but when I drove my Accord which had the unit built in, I would often just call SiriusXM and tell them that $15 was too much and to give me a better price. I usually walked away with an $8/month deal. The best I ever got was probably $6/month lol.

If you have the Pioneer BRZ head unit you probably shouldn't get this one. This thing is powered by your cigarette lighter thing and connects to your radio via aux or radio frequency. It also has an magnetic antenna that you have to place somewhere. Your BRZ probably has the antenna built in and your SiriusXM already set up.

ohh ok. i must have misunderstood OP. I thought it's just a simple subscription and no need to install anything.
