You need to do two medals... One for Canada.

Scion Fr-S $25000 - Canadian

Subaru BRZ $28000 - Canadian

I'd guess $22995 MSRP for the FR-S

I HOPE the base trim for USA is $19999. There is no way this car can be $25000. Just checked the Subaru.com and a brand new WRX with 265hp and awd costs $25,600. I'm not saying many of us won't be willing to pay that much, but it defeats the purpose of this car. This is a Miata Coupe basically. It's supposed to be an affordable sports coupe. This type of car is not for sale currently, all we have is a bunch of fwd cars that are heavier than the 86. So, I can see why the premium would be charged. But, you'll never see a car cost less 3 years later just cause the craze is over. haha Although, kinda cool to see WRX's are faster/better than they were in 2002 and yet, still cost the same.

low 23k to mid 24k with scion no haggle no hassle.

with that said if the price is anywhere near the 22s initially, your best bet is to get it then because the price of this thing WILL go up. I can see dealers marking up prices even if its not a limited production car.
And waiting for a mid cycle refresh probably wont do you any good since by then msrp will have gone up exponentially. Whatever money you saved with the low inital price will probably make up for in the slight performance gain of the refresh.
And finally once you account for inflation in 3 to 5 years youll look back wishing you had the bought the car earlier.

Ok, just checked scion.com and the 2012 tC base msrp is $19,300. There's no way in scion that they'll price the FR-S lower, so my realistic guess is $23k. Bleh!

Edit: Mazdausa.com has the base miata at $23,200. That's about what I see the FRS/BRZ costing.

Knowing how us Canadians get screwed with vehicle pricing.
I would be happy if the FRS/BRZ starts at $27k here in Canada.
