Honestly, i think by "development" they meant not giving it to a "committee" to design, and instead it was built by "passion" (i.e. Nurburgring races, rigorous performance testing, CEO involvement, design by nostalgic car lovers with a 2000GT for reference, Lightness as a main priority) and all of this for a sub $25k car? that's unheard of and definitely not "traditional".

The car will definitely not cost more than $25k, if it does it pretty much loses all sales to 2013 genesis coupe, mustang v6, and even the subaru WRX. I think $22k sounds about right for what the car is.

"Price tag: £28,000, or roughly $35,000 (according to autocar.co.uk),"

The BRZ will start at the base price of a WRX which is a little above 25k.

That doesn't make any sense... the WRX is significantly better value for the money in that comparison.

That report came from MotorTrend, and there is more to the story: The "base" BRZ will be the "Premium" trim which will come standard with HIDs and Nav. So yes, the BRZ will start at the same price as the base WRX, but it will include many more standard features.

$18,575 is the base MSRP for a new tC, 6-speed manual. I'm guessing for a base 6 speed manual FR-S, pricing should hopefully be around $21,995, or $22,995 max.

Awesome, so if the starting price for a BRZ is the same as a base WRX then the BRZ will be $9000 more money than a Genesis Coupe 2.0T in Canada. Base WRX $31500... Genesis Coupe 2.0T is $22000 after rebate.

And people wonder how Hyundai is dominating the Canadian market....The 2013 Genesis Coupe 2.0T with 274hp and interior upgrades completely dominates the WRX for $9000 less money. Hell you can get the leather equiped 2.0T Premium for under $25000 here.

Fuck Subaru.

No way 22k? Looks like that's gonna be it if the subie is starting at 24ish, take away nav and headlights alone and you'll be under 22!!
