well due to a financial issue, I won't be able order a BRZ until Mid-june at the earliest. so I guess it's a 2014 for me.

who knows, maybe the 2014 will have some more color options.

No idea. As far as I'm aware, all they're doing is replacing the ghetto buttons for a standard touchscreen. Everything else should be the same.

That's actually a picture from the 2014 tC. This is what it looks like in the FR-S limited edition... Also, the dash has changed, correct? I mean, not just the colour, but the pattern too? I wonder if the new dash will make it into the standard FR-S...

The BeSpoke was only available in the US as far as I'm aware, and on top of that, it got really bad reviews. But I don't think they're completely ditching BeSpoke, because they might be bringing in the BeSpoke 2.0, which is the actual BeSpoke head unit they intended to bring to the FR-S in the first place, but it just wasn't ready by the time the FR-S was released, so they just put whatever they had done in the cars.
This touchscreen is just the standard one now, instead of the old-school looking one from the 2013's. You'll still be able to upgrade to the BeSpoke unit I believe, unless they still haven't finished making the BeSpoke 2.0 yet.

What's up with the map button on the unit? Any chance we will get a real Nav system on the FR-S in 2014, instead of the BeSpoke garbage?

I am still undecided between FR-S and BRZ. If I go the FR-S route and my 2014 would come with a touchscreen and no nav, I would request they plug last year's radio in it with the hard buttons. If I am forced to take a TV screen in my purist sports car, then I want navigation with it!

If it has a map button it has sat nav I am sure. It's also not the same Pioneer unit used in other Subarus and the CDN BRZ.

I'm pretty sure that dash was designed specifically to encase that aweful light up scion logo in the dash to the right of the head unit.
