If it makes you feel better, you probably saved at least 3G's...the 10 series will carry a decent premium, and that's before the douchey dealers mark them up even more

If i wanted a brz i'm not buyed a frs. Not wanted to pay for part that have not need. And upgrade is never free. My last car VW 2003 gti 20 Anniversery edition was a real upgrade edition(audi kit brake, strong sway bar, more big wheel*18) recaro seat, dropeed of 1 inch, 6 speed(5 for std edition) ect, ect. That's a real special edition not like 'scion 10 edition' save money with std edition and buy new tire and new wheel for track

scion led in dash and glow knob is for kids

I buy this car for long project. This car avec many 'room' to upgrade and platform is very great so is a tuning car you can upgrade with your need. Aftermarket working hard to deliver many performance parts. I'm agree to put more option like hid ect. But need to keep this car relativly low cost.

My 2 cents

That glowing badge makes it look like a blue Rudolph. I say we ban it from the FRS/BRZ games.

I'm also a little irritated that we have proof that the current BeSpoke units are garbage and a new head unit is being introduced. I really feel some legal action could be done about this and the conduct under which the BeSpoke units are forced on us.

I have recently joined the forum but have lurked for a year and a half or so. I love what Toyota and Subaru have built and to tell you the truth I could care less if it was a Scion/Toyota or Subaru - it's a great car and we are lucky to have it and be able to enjoy driving again.

I don't go to many forums but people throw the word 'hate' around so much on the internet. It happens a lot on this forum sometimes too and I am not sure why. I was happy just lurking but I actually joined because of this thread and the new Scion 10 Release series. I think it's fun and cool and I love what Scion brings to the auto industry. Cheap, well thought out cars, most accessories already included for a fair price. Scion loves that you might mod your car and that seems what everyone here loves doing too.

So Scion comes out with the 10 Release Series and I am reading 'oh I hate this' and 'I hate that' why not just appreciate the fact that there are now two levels of the Scion FR-S and two levels of the BRZ. In fact in a weird way you could say there are now 4 levels and hopefully 4 different price points across the board, I think that's pretty cool!

Buy the base model FR-S or buy the 10 Release Series - I think they are two nice choices. If you don't like the funky cool illuminated shift buy a new one and sell the solar charged one, if you don't the like silver ignition color then buy one of the other colors that Scion and/or Subaru offer the car in. Don't go apoplectic because of a color - plus, no one has a gun to your head to buy Ignition Silver or Firestorm or Asphalt. I actually like the light up badges, I don't know why but it seems fun and unique. The Scion logo on the dash coming on as you get into the car could be very beneficial for seeing stuff at night - and what a conversation starter! The world if full of choices, let's appreciate and be thankful for the choices Toyota and Subaru and yes Scion too have given us.

See you in the mountains or at the track!

How are they forced on you? You could have just opted for the regular stereo.

I dunno, the headlights make the car look more busy, and with all the lines it has...it needs less of that.

To everyone who is pissed that they bought a 2013 and not waited for a 2014, stop stressing out an enjoy your car. The changes are minimal..

I bought a 2012 2.0t genesis coupe and then 2 weeks later found out the 2013 models upped the power from 210hp/230tq to 274hp/274tq. Now THAT stressed me out for quite a while. I learned to appreciate what I had and just enjoyed my car.

Just my 2 cents

They must have had them designed for North America, but to only do so for the limited edition FR-S wouldn't be cost effective for Toyota, so it's likely these might go on the regular 2014 FR-S's as well.
If your theory holds water, then I look forward to getting an FR-S in the near future.

I too am a little upset they seem to be just screwing over bespoke owners with the new head unit. A very simple firmware update would fix all the issues I have with that silly thing...

I'm not too mad about it, though. I just took it as a lesson never to buy dealer installed "extras" ever again. Well, maybe if I bought a porsche, and then I'd have to go all out but that's probably never going to happen :P

I'm not planning on buying a porsche, I just have a habit of dreaming about cars I don't have. I'm perfectly satisfied with my 86 as is

That being said, if I had the money I'd probably buy a corvette z06 and definitely not go with any dealer extras.

Anyway, getting sort of off topic..

Scion pricing. There are a lot of dealers in my area and every one of them wouldn't budge on pricing. What is in the window is the "no haggle Scion pricing." I asked if I could take the radio out and have the standard one and they said I could only order it that way. If I wanted the one I was looking at, I had to buy it as is.
