I'm going from an incentive-full Lexus SC430 to this. That car is a 2002 and it had passenger seat memory. My mom's 2011 ES350 doesn't have that. So yes, I'm essentially losing a ton of things like electronic seat adjustments, leather heated seats, and of course, the drop top. I am young and I admit I have been spoiled by having my first two cars as high end Lexus'. So most kids going from that to this might think it's a downgrade. But we all need to realize what this car is for. I enjoy having the rawness of the interior because that means they saved weight, and put their knowledge into the driving experience. The FR-S was even more fun to drive than the incentive-filled BRZ. I'm fine having a key and dials for the temperature. I enjoy it because the engineers put their efforts into the joy of the car, not pleasing people who don't enjoy driving it. It gives you that sports car feel that this generation's cars have lost.

Scion execs need to creep the forums to find out what the people want, not watch Fast and Furious movies.

This..... i was hoping the frs would push scion into a respected sports car company but nope 2013 and we are still putting neons on and other tacky shit....

Im wondering. Why need a bigger touch screen head unit if all you do is to touch it. Its not like you'll be watching a movie through that thing while driving. And it is not a pair of boobs that the bigger the more gratifying it is to touch.

Because to the kids they are targeting, bigger is better to them. Especially a touch screen.

No wonder scion dont get sales that much. They target kids, but they didnt put it into consideration that kids (majority of them) cant afford a brand new sports car. The people i've seen driving the twins are usually "matured" professionals or people who got money to burn. The only thing i'd want from the special edition FRS would be the headlights.

Don't forget the HVAC controls, and push button start. The rest of the things on the special edition are very immature though.

I rarely use my AC/Heater and the push botton start, not a fan of it really.

I guess it might be more useful for someone like me, because the summers are hot and winters will freeze your fingers off (i.e. Canada).

wondering if the parts would be PnP swappable. Wondering if the 2013 FR-S have prewiring for the stuff that will be on the 2014, or at least easily added in.

So we know the 10 series limited edition FR-S will have HIDs, push-button start, dual climate control, etc.
The car will also get the new Pioneer 6.1" touch screen head unit which will be standard on all 2014 Scions. (YAY!)

Is it just me or does the dash have a new pattern? Looks nicer than the fake carbon fiber/space invaders pattern from the 2013's (though that looks better than the silver dash from the BRZ Limited in my opinion. I'm partial to uniformly coloured interiors.)
Also, the clock LED's seem to have changed from the ugly orange to red...
Attachment 32378

Now, I know this the 10th anniversary special edition FR-S, but it's possible that some of these features (except the touch screen, which is already confirmed to be there) might make it to the 2014 models, and hopefully those HIDs will at least be available as an option now.
They must have had them designed for North America, but to only do so for the limited edition FR-S wouldn't be cost effective for Toyota, so it's likely these might go on the regular 2014 FR-S's as well.

Given that the limited editions will be available in June, and so will be the new (and slightly unappealing) 2014 tC, anyone else think that we should be able to get our hands on the regular 2014 FR-S (which hasn't been officially unveiled, by the way) in June as well?
