I'm trying my best to get it on the lift this or next weekend and getting busy installing/reviewing most if not all the goodies. The lift is 25mi away and occupied by two 944's in need of constant attention.

I've already dropped everything off except the header at the shop and have it all waiting there.

Stepping up the brakes a bit.

Ordered a set to run as a mixed use pad to run all the time. The StopTech's were a great value for the street and light cool weather track duty but I'm afraid they aren't gonna meet the demands of summer at Road Atlanta, even with cooling ducts.

I ran these on my Evo few years back. Did the same thing you are planning to do, mixed use.
Becareful on cold mornings... I had some scares where the pads just wouldn't bite. Pads performed well on the smaller local tracks, but Evo's weight didn't help on tracks with longer straights.

We have a BRZ at Carolina Motorsports park, and we equipped it with our TF Brake cooling kit and the Ferodo DS1.11 pads with DBA 4000 rotors. When he comes back, I'll ask how the setup was.
he's on Advan AD08's.

No plans for coating at this time. I had my old 944's headers ceramic coated and I think they looked great but I didn't see any measurable difference in underhood temps. Granted I never tracked those cars, but I think the Borla header will be fine without. The CAI I'm running should avoid the heat anyways since the filter is out of the engine bay.

Good to know. I have a good feeling that they will suit this car well. I plan on hitting up Lowes and/or the auto parts store and getting some kind of plug that I can easily insert and remove from the brake ducts so the pads hopefully won't get TOO cold when streeting the car in the winter.

Was dead set on SWP until I saw your CBS BRZ...just signed the papers on the same color (limited version + chrome package) last night and am picking it up next week! Just landed off the truck yesterday with 4 miles.

Thanks for the inspiration. Your car is gorgeous.

Thanks for the compliments! Glad I could help make your decision on CBS!

Check your Borla UEL header flanges, dudes.

In another thread DJ suggested I check mine before installing them this weekend like I had planned.

Lots of wasted time under the car replacing gaskets and getting those skidplates on/off

I just checked mine.

The passenger's side block to header flange is warped with a ~2mm gap in the middle as well as the header to overpipe flange with 2mm gaps on either side.

I've contacted Borla for a warranty replacement. I'm disappointed to find these defects but thankfully I caught it before installing and then ending up with a leak and having to take them off and troubleshoot.

I believe mine was made before the new tooling that Borla is using now in their Tennessee plant that @FT-86 SpeedFactory heard about. Mine also don't have the new reinforcement bracket either so I'm expecting that to be included on the new header Borla sends back to me via the million mile warranty.

Mine doesn't have the reinforcement bracket either but the picture @FT-86 SpeedFactory made shows a OEM Exhaust Manifold up top, the Borla UEL in the middle and Borla EL on the bottom. I wouldn't say its a fair comparison of the pre production and production manifolds.

I agree it's not a fair comparison, I just posted it for reference regarding the brackets because I noticed that the first batch of headers shipped out without the brackets (and apparently some production defects).

Warped borla header here as well, mine is on the 2 bolt flange where it connects to to overpipe. I also do not have a reinforcement bracket.

Borla customer service is great though, I just wish I would have checked before installing... I've been chasing exhaust leaks for about a week until I found out the flange was warped
