Pretty sure illuminating the badges (if they ARE blue) is illegal while a) driving and b) period because only emergency vehicles are allowed to have blue lights.

Does anyone know anyone who would have the capability to machine down these center caps? I need about 1-1.5mm taken off. I'm guessing they could be machined but I have no idea if I should try a machine shop or a fabricator.

If they are like the XB hot lava release then they illuminate for a few seconds when you lock and unlock the car. Pretty much function like interior dome lights except you can't have them on for a long time.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere (in the main thread here or on another site covery the NYAS) that they only illuminate when the car is unlocked and fade after several seconds.

EDIT: Ah, beaten to it!

I thought he was selling them for $2k for the pair? Either way, let me know what the cost of them are. I'm bored with the stock housings.

just call BBS and get the correct size for your wheel.. trying to shave a millimeter off those will probably end up ruining them..

The problem is they don't make or stock these so they are terribly hard to get a hold of. It took me 2.5 months to get these that were suppose to be the 70mm face ones. They measure about 73-74mm.

huh, well that sucks. if its an acrylic piece, however you end up shaving down the edge you will need to polish afterwards. and hopefully its a solid color and not painted on top of like white plastic..

really i dont know who would agree to cut on that for you that would also guarantee not to fuck it up.. maybe you could put some cardboard over the wheel, trace it out, make a template from that and use it as a guide for dremel-ing around the outer edge..

Are they from Laurel? It'd be better to know their residence city. If they were walking, they wouldn't go too far from where they live... Hope they are safe.
