It depends what are your goals with the car. If you keep torque at under 220 WTQ, and drive "normal", (not double clutching not racing every stop light, not doing donuts every week, not racing a lot, etc), you get away with it for a good amount of time. Anything over 230 WTQ or the driving described above, you will not get away with it for much time...
It wasn't an absolutely necessary modification right now, but might as well get it out of the way while the car is in pieces.

I edited my post to show I was talking about WTQ, not WHP. Also, don't take my numebrs as hard evidence, this is just me gathering information from what the turbo guys pushing over 250 WTQ have said.
