If i pay that much I expect it to look good then without having to dish out the extra 300 for exterior level two. Can you confirm that the one step was good enough.
As Bryan will likely tell you if you asked him, it really depends on the current condition of your car's paint. Mine had some light abrasions and swirls, 98% of which were erased with a 1 step. It didn't get 100% of the imperfections to the trained eye under focused light, but they were completely invisible to my 20/15 vision after he was finished with the hard body.

He will inspect your paint with up close with a light (after a wash with detergent to remove all wax and whatever else) and you'll be able to immediately assess what a 1 step will remove and what it won't remove. I found the 1 step exterior level 1 to make my car look perfect to my eyes. I think a level 2 would only be needed if your car already had bad swirling and scratches from nasty car washes and lots of neglect.

Received my @Touge Factory brake cooling duct kit today.

As you can see, it's a pretty comprehensive solution complete with detailed installation instructions with photos. There are ducts for the front which will collect air at the front of the bumper cover opening on either side, and the backing plates will be properly directing air to the center of the rotors and through the vanes.

Installation is pretty straight forward looking. Included with the kit are upper and lower shims to move the gigantic washer fluid reservoir out a tad to allow room for the ducting hose to route through from the bumper cover area to the wheel wells. A bit of wheel well trimming and a few holes drilled and this kit will zip tie on and should provide plenty of hose clearance without kinking at full opposite lock steering angles.

My goal with this kit is to keep high temps at bay on the track to hopefully avoid fully delaminating the material off the face of the OEM rotors, like what happened to @Dave-ROR at Sebring!

I have a weekend's worth of parts to install on the car now and my first HPDE this year will be the last weekend in April. I need to get the car on the lift and get this stuff installed!

FINALLY received my warranty replacement Whiteline Com-C top mounts. My originals were removed after one day of rattle & pop filled driving due to bad bearings and/or suspension geometry. I took some comparison photos of the new vs old top mounts to show what's different in this run that will hopefully solve the issues with deforming rubber around the bearings when turning with the suspension loaded.

Bottom side comparison, you can clearly see a different bearing insert in the middle, not much else different

New top side includes some dust covers.

Without the dust covers on top. Note the different inner bearings on top

Whiteline also gifted me this really nice pair of driving gloves, I guess as a token of appreciation for waiting so long.

Man, that looks awesome.... REALLY looking forward to your feedback on how this kit works...

Where is the april event and it registration still open?

I'm doing KMS drift this weekend to get some seat time and some more advanced car control instruction.

Looking forward to the install pics of the brake ducts. I get my Wilwood front kit in today. I got a deal from a guy here on the forums. They're just the 4-pots but weight 16lbs less per corner. Actually made for the WRX but will bolt right up. Installing them tomorrow.

April 27-28 @ Atlanta Motorsports Park with Peachstate Porsche Club. Registration opens March 16th on ClubRegistration.net

You'll likely be sharing Atlanta Motor Speedway with PCA this weekend, they are doing an autocross there too! I wish I could go but I have a birthday to celebrate and a concert to attend!

Nice! Those should look amazing and put up with some serious abuse. I'm still sold on the AP Racing Sprint BBK because of the absurd amount of thermal capacity the super thick rotors and calipers allow. I could also easily get away with no caliper coating and no dust boots year round down here in Georgia. Trying to put off the BBK as long as possible with these ducts and trying not to abuse the stockers too badly. We'll see how that goes, lol...

It took 7 long painful months, but I finally took delivery of my GBS BRZ Premium on Thursday. The guys at Troncalli Subaru in Cumming, GA were awesome. I'm still driving it like a grandma, but that'll change soon, I bet. Love the 6MT!

Congrats man post some pics in one of the Atlanta threads in the Southeast forum, or just start a member journal here! 7 months is a long wait but I know it was worth it!

Quick shot of the loose test fit for the secondary O2 sensor spacer from bigdaddiesgarage.com

Went with the angled version to hopefully allow extra clearance between the sensor and body and give a bit more slack in the wiring, t304 stainless steel. Should be enough to avoid a CEL based on feedback from other folks already running catless headers on the stock ecu tune.

lol who are you kidding, once you get the R2's, Wilwoods, and the wheels and tires installed I think your build is gonna be damn sweet! Staying catted with your EL header I assume? Keeping your Unichip? Still going FI later this year?

I really don't think my desire for FI will grow much at all after I finish flattening the torque dip and the rest of the powerband with a tune once I decide on which tuner/platform to go with, which I'm taking my time with. The tuning market for our cars still has lots of development and growing to do. Leaning towards EcuTek lately...

Yeah, I can't wait to get everything in and installed...it's dragging on but makes it exciting.

I went with the catted version (I'm afraid of unwanted smells/louder tone). I'm keeping the Unichip. I'm hoping the tune works good with it, I'll be playing with the maps to see which runs best. I still plan to go FI, but this gives me the option to stay NA, go with the Innovate kit, or the FA20club turbo down the road. I like to have options. This is my daily driver so I don't want to get in a position where I have to make odd little tweaks to keep the car running. That's why I'm staying away from a turbo for now. I still think there is a lot to be developed and refined. I think the header will hold me over for a little while. Seems like it will give me just enough power on the backroads to really enjoy.
