I got longer bolts from crappy tire, two really big washers (inner hole to match the bolts, outer diameter bigger than the holes in the plastic mesh) and nuts.

Run bolts with the big washer through the plastic mesh from behind, then through the bottom holes on the stock plate bracket and secure with smaller washers and nuts. Mine has been like that since about a couple days after delivery (over 7 months now) without issues.
