Not bashing your averaging but since they were all tuned by the same people in the same garage, you can't count them as 3 data points, they are 1 data point. So it should read "the 3 cars that were tuned by the same people showed 225, but they were using the wrong map, upon learning their mistake they got around 240." |

I want to know if it's possible to get the compressor in polished chrome like in Brian's profile pic. That would be really hot for a show car.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=206 The 252whp figure was achieved using the 10 PSI pulley on the old kit. Not map 3 with the old kit. Last edited by Pete; 03-25-2013 at 09:07 PM. Reason: lowballed th hp :z |

Though I don't always like their approach, some times crass, and negative, I think 2forme and calum are necessary evils, and due to their tact or lack off, I'm prolly gonna pull the trigger on the vortech soonish, (wanted to wait til 36k but don't think I'm gonna make it.) and for that I do say thank you to the both of them, their negative out look, and occassional manipulation of facts, has in fact brought alot of light to bear on this kit, and which tuner to pair with it. Kudos you 2.
Don't get me wrong their still a lil annoying, but you can't ignore the outcome. Last edited by Adeets; 03-25-2013 at 07:36 PM. Reason: Ur mother |

Post your subtle jabs all you want. I've been nothing but cordial. Tact, as you say I lack, is only missing from posts like this. I don't have to worship every part I put on my car, just because I spent the money on it. At the end of the day, I have knowledge (and questions) about the topic and am going to continue sharing it because I think everyone should be able to make an educated decision, even if they choose not to .

ok on a more direct question from someone who really is on the edge of deciding which FI option to get, is there any way this kit can see more than 200 torque at the wheels with the new blower and on no more than 93 octane (supporting mods, magic tune!, etc)? Thanks

Maybe the Vortech kit is the only one being talked about. ![]() Quote:

I did kind of forgot about the controversy as I sailed at higher speeds on the track :-).
230rwhp with stock blower 252rwhp peak with smaller pulley ???rwhp with new unit. We'll see! Edit: So I don't thread drift with a new post. Headlights - Colorshift halos with whited out casing and Morimoto retrofit HID kit. Last edited by PhastekSport; 03-25-2013 at 10:36 PM. |
