My FR-S:

-I kept the ORIGINAL STICKER PRICE, misc number stickers, temp registration w/dealer sticker, dealer plates frames, dealer plates, etc.

-still have the engine bay nice and clean.

-still has ALL the blue-ish plastic covers on the pedals, pillars, kick panels, etc

-still has never been outside the blazing sunlight for more than an hour.

-still has never been abused, driven hard, and hasn't seen 80+ mph.

-still has never seen a dash of harsh weather and or rain.

-still has all of the underside metals shining clean.

-still has that NEW CAR SMELL

-still only has 303 original miles.

-still is only driven on the weekends.

-still is FLAWLESS, MINTY-MINT, and UNMOLESTED

Yeah!!

I'll be honest: if I could do the same things with regards to maintaining the longevity of the new condition of my own car, I would! But since mine is my only car and daily driver, I have to compromise on some of the things on your list....

Second place, CARSMO armrest.

While the rest of my mods are nice and I do not regret them at all, those two have made the most difference.

I think it was $380ish installed by Toyota and part of my factory warranty.
I love the concept of the auto dimming rear view mirror, but without the side mirrors dimming also, I still feel on the fence about it. And maybe because I like the look of the JDM frameless mirror also :P

How do you feel? You have cars just as often to the side of your car just as you do behind, no? Any feedback?

I uderstand that mos def!
I'm just fortunate to have such a healthy AE86 for my daily!
Despite what other caring individuals in this forum have said here, I shall keep my FR-S as clean, and as mint as I can possibly keep it. Lord knows I will ride and own this car till the wheels falls off, even still, I'll just buy a new set and slap em back on this mutha hehe...

The side mirrors really haven't been much of an issue. I think most of if it you can remove by good adjustment. Also, I don't think I would actually want the sides to dim as well. When the rear view dims past some point, it can make it very hard to distinguish anything about the vehicles behind you. Having the sides available to see if those lights coming up on your rear are attached to a police car is a boon for the paranoia. Otherwise you have to turn off the dimming function.

Too many people go to the Smithsonian, it could get fingerprints on it there. I'm thinking an underground fallout shelter would be the only place to keep it perfectly safe.

Now thats an idea but it can't be just any underground bunker, it has to be deep deep underground and hermetically sealed. I don't want that NEW CAR SMELL seeping out!

Keep 'em coming fellas. Don't be shy.

You seem to know a lot about obesity, & apathy. Your hometown must be a great place to visit.
