This kind of non-specific question is what causes a shit storm of misinformation.

Don't take my word for it, though:

This. If you want to get your moneys worth, buy a TRUE CAI. Vigilant, FA20Club, Perrin, all make them and they are worthwhile. A SRI is not worth the money, IMO, unless you're going to get an ECU tune to go with it. All things considered with the stock ecu tune, True CAI > Stock + Drop-In filter > SRI

Expect 4-5whp gain, more induction noise, better throttle response with any true CAI on the stock ecu tune.

Its just a fascia that mates to the stock snorkel. He's only just been tuned so we have yet to get any factual data but you can feel that the intake pipe is much cooler after driving. I'll see if there's any pics about as I don't have any.

Nope, just the OEM air feed into the now air box. It means its similar to the AEM or K&N. I will do some tests shortly to see the impact on MAF and IAT with and without the fascia.

My local dealer just quoted me a price of $525 to install a TRD cold air intake.

I cannot find a single piece of information anywhere on the internet about a cold intake from Toyota.

The dealer even gave me a picture of it: http://www.toyotaasg.com/imagebank/98102.jpg

I tried to get into that site and do some research myself but it appears its a dealer parts site and you need a region and dealer code.

Anyone have info/opinions on this TRD Cold Air Intake?

Yeah, it's stupidly overpriced and I doubt it's any better than aftermarket. That's TRD for you; overpriced and mediocre performance.

+1 for FA20club's CAI.. totally agree with Bg8780.. may not the prettiest, but it's one of the most, if not the most effective.. two 45 degree bends just seem better than two 90 degree bends.. it costs less too.
