AEM intake is great. only one ive seen that includes a plug for the oem maf to tune it for the extra air flow and piping size. it uses a hybrid AEM/ K&N dry filter as well. not the prettiest intake but works great. Ive had it 3 months or so, no CEL light and dealership said nothing to me about it either. I pm'd jeremy @ ft86speedfactory.com because they use both the AEM and AFE on their frs' they said the AEM is a bit better but a bit more $$$. Perrin looks really cool but might get into the way of the rad and will be tedious to change filter or clean. whereas AEM has 4 bolts that remove the top and the one hose clamp.

Yea have to say it doesn't look the prettiest but it does give significant horsepower and torque.

Anything cold air intake would be the best option because it gives your engine bay more space to work on extra stuff and obviously sucks in more cooler air than any SRI would. I hope Injen soon comes up with a CAI to mate up to their current SRI

Go with Perrin. They make top notch stuff, are located in the US, all makes great noise, they add dyno charts with most of their products and the bolt ons give you decent boosts, and they have awesome customer service (with damn decent warranties too!).

You've asked an objective question which you'll get a ton of subjective answers. There is no "best option" IMO. What are you after (noise and/or performance) and how much are you willing spend? My personal view was that the more expensive intakes don't give good value. They do look nice though so you'll get kudos.

The Injen is not a CAI. FWIW I have turned a mates Injen into a CAI and it works well.

I just installed the FA20club CAI and I love it. Car sounds absolutely beautiful at every rev range and responsiveness is excellent. It's not the prettiest intake but in my opinion it's the best design. Honestly, if you're not getting a tune with it I'd probably just stick with a drop in filter.
