Good choice. Just tested mine today in the Black forrest (first time "real sporty driving" since I've installed them) and they are awesome. Lowering the car enought to be responsive and having less body roll than stock, but still keeping the ride confortalbe enough to drive 2 hours of shitty roads without an issue with your back :-) And also the car looks way better lowered a bit

This puts a damper on my plans, but yesterday night I went to a lounge for work and had to park the car in a lot. I thought I was careful when I initially parked, but as I pulled out I heard a crunch and I know it couldn't be good. I checked when I got home and the front bumper had gotten stuck on the parking stop, that long piece of concrete to stop cars from driving past a parking space, and had pulled/ripped the front bumper out. It's not that bad and not noticable unless you get on your hands and knees to look under the bumper.

What this does is puts a damper on my plans to get rims/tires and drop the car an inch. This is what I was afaid of from the get go. It's already a stretch to get into my garage, but this had made me think twice. It's all a chain reaction. Rims/tires will eventually lead to a drop and so on and so forth.

I don't want to drop her an inch only to go through this again and something worse.

well, when it comes to driveways, speedbumps, parkinggarages, road works or whatever, every sporty car will be to low eventually, and you will scratch something sooner or later. this is just a fact you have to live with. Its up to you to keep the chances something happens low, like driving carefully in roadwork areas, passing slow over speedbumps/driveways/parking etc. As far as I remember from my few US visits, the parking spaces over there are quiet big, why not just leave some space in front of the car when parking? The BRZ should be short enough to still fit into most of the parking spaces.
Lowering the car will make it more likely you'll scratch something, however, on the other side, you will drive more "aware" of this, which in my case at least, lowers the chances again since I'm paying more attention to the above mentioned stuff than in a "normal" car

Other than the other day, I'm usually very careful when parking. So much so that my co-workers ask me why I park so far back in a parking spot. The thing is I'm not worried about me as I am the valet parking attendants. They will kill your front bumper/wheel/etc. when they park your car. I happen to live in LA and your pretty much have to valet everywhere you go. They don't give you a choice. That's what's really got me worried.

Tip them well and a lot better chance they will take care of the car especially if you mention you have a hidden dash cam (you can or trick them) and you'll be fine.

These wheels look great. But two things hold me back.

1. The car needs to be LOW to make these wheels look great. I probably just need to suck it up.

2. The fronts consistently seem to poke more in the front than they do in the rear. Or am I missing something? Thanks

Thats correct, its a "square" set so you will either have tuck in the rear or poke in the front. The only way to have "flush" all around is a staggered set or using spacers on the rear and a more conservative size up front.

The poke is easily fixed with a drop and some camber bolts. Its not bad at all on the 8.75 +35 really.

zero rub

I was able to get into my driveway with no problems.. haven't tried a speed bump yet, but I think it will be fine. RCE is only a 20mm drop.. one of the most conservative.
