This. I want one as well. Good flux is the key to making soldering easier by the way.

I would also like to say that I would really want an extension harness rather than splicing the OEM harness. Can't wait to see some videos.

This is such great news, I am excited to see what comes of this upgrade! It is amazing how dedicated and involved Vortech is with the FT86 community. I value reliability and diligence over lofty numbers any day, thank you Vortech.

Guess I'll go with Vortech if I decided(read: have enough saved up) to go FI.
Quick noob question: will having a lightweight crank pulley affect the SC in any way?

Just so there's no confusion, this run was made using a wastegate controlling boost. But it is an example of what can be made with this kit.

BTW, just in case anyone wants to see the kit layout with the Ecutek parts and the washer bottle assembly included...

I know it has been mentioned several times already by others but I thought I would toss in my thoughts as well about the PnP harness for the MAF. It is those little things that really set something like this apart as a refined kit. I am a huge fan of clean easy PnP harnesses and that's even coming from someone who has had to build their fair share of harnesses and have no problems splicing however, PnP wins me every time!! Please include it

Awesome job and a quick turnaround Vortech!

Now how about some dyno readouts and 0-60, 60-120 pulls.

Doing the math, that peak is at 7400 RPM if the torque is 210.
Note I am getting 7352.8 rpm with this formula

horsepower = torque * rpm / 5252

Can you share why you use the conversion factor 1.17 for converting WHP to
crank. I use 1.2 for average RWD 20% losses, so, I was curious how you arrived at 17%.

I think with the 6 speed it is closer to 15 percent.

If my math serves me correctly multiply whp by 100 (just add two zeroes or move the decimal over a couple of spots) and divide by 85.

Yesterday with original unit and smaller pully my peak was 252 hp. That's 296 @ the crank. Multiply 296 hp by . 85 and you're back at 252.

It's not so much the soldering, it's hacking up the stock harness that I don't like.
