It's not so much the rolling resistance of the tires that makes the big difference in readings from a hub dyno, it's the lack of the rotational inertia of the wheels and tires.

True that, that's why I really can't take Hub dyno (Dynapack) seriously. The numbers are SUPER high on most cases.

I think they're fantastic. They are much more versatile/portable than a traditional dyno, and they are quite good when you actually need to tune a car (waaay better than a Dynojet). The only place they fall short is when you try to compare dyno numbers over the interwebz.

Yup, look wise. The original LS was very similar to Crown from the same time.

Hopefully they use higher grade leather and a better transmission for 2013.

The 2013 front bumper SCREAMS Elantra+Mazda 3 and that is NOT a good thing.

I've driven 5 GCs, all three model years. The 2010 is a shit-box: Overall reliability is bad and the first years Manual transmissions were plagued with 4th and 5th gear grinds. The sunroof had issues and I noticed a lot of squeaks and rattles. The front door speakers in particular. I couldn't believe how much better the M6 in the 2011 felt, I thought I was driving a different car! The 2012 was also very solid with fewer quality control issue "noises".

The 2013 should be a a substantial improvement, Hyundai does listen to customer feedback. They put the engine we want in the 2.0T and fixed interior issues like the seatbelt holder. I just wish they put the Vega bumper on the 2013 with the new headlights and didn't include cheesy fake hood scoops. It screams low rent!
I heard the hood scoops are real...most people who don't have a GC like the new 2013 look. They say the previous ones looked too sedate.

If they keep the price the same....350HP in the V6 with direct injection an 275 Hp in the turbo 4....sounds like an awesome deal to me....more than likely they fixed the manual tranny issues. Also it has a 8 speed automatic for peeps who like automatics. The car should get good gas mileage.

They are to inflated for my taste. I prefer a Dyno Dynamics or a Mustang dyno. I put my trust in having a great tuner, not the dyno.

Is the new engine or the engine in the sonata based on the EVO engine?
