You are not understanding US Destination. Acura is a North American company also.
Check the VINs on most models, you will see the J.
You said in post #82 that all Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti models are made within Japan. You also previously implied that just because some of the Big-3's models are made outside the USA, they are inferior. I'm simply trying to show you that the cars you glorify are made in virtually the same places as the cars you lambaste. Based on that and your previous logic (cars made in Canada and Mexico are inferior), your views are hypocritical. Try and judge a car on driving characteristics rather than where it was assembled and by whom...you'll get far more respect (especially from those in this forum).

It's a Ford so the seats will be crap. It's a Mustang so the interior quality will be crap. I'm sure the handling will be better, probably much better, but I'd be stunned if they got to FR-S territory. Like Clarkson said while reviewing the Focus ST and other competitors, get the GT86.

Mustangs and Miatas are the same thing to me. They both sound perfect on paper. Sit in one, however, and they're just awful. I sat in the FR-S and said, "Yup!"

For the record, I own Ford stock.

The funny part about this sort of argument is that every person who makes it, is doing so on a computer made of various components from all over the world. Lulz.

Back on topic: In recent years the Mustang design has really improved, aesthetically, compared to what they were doing in the late 90's and early 2000's.

I said "Lexus is NOT made outside Japan (maybe the SUV and ??)" and that was in direct reference to US Destination cars.
Some of the Big-3's models are made outside the USA?? Some??!!!
Do some research, back date 10 years too!
AND they are NOT inferior because they are not made in the US, that problem is inherent.
judge a car on driving characteristics? YES I have, THATS THE POINT! How old are you? I keep forgetting that this sit is like 23 and under.
How many cars have you owned? Bought? Driven?

Im not concerned about the respect you or anyone here has for me. Im not selling anything.

You said the same thing about Acura and Infiniti in the exact same sentence...funny how you didn't include it in this post.

Yes, some are made outside the USA and many are still made within the USA.

The inherent problem with cars from Ford, GM, and Chrysler is that their made outside their country of origin? Wow, I guess a lot of other cars from many different companies are inherently flawed, as well (including the ones you tout as being the best).

Except, you really haven't. You go on and on about how some Fords are made in Canada and Mexico, but I really haven't heard you say anything about their ride quality, speed, fuel efficiency, interior amenities, etc.

Does it really matter how old I am?

I have owned 12 cars, bought 12 cars, and have driven literally hundreds more.

Would you be willing to pay e92 money for a Mustang? Cause that's what your asking for. The seats in the ST are actually amazing and so are Recaro's in the stang. My ass has personally tested both and know this to be true; not to mention I haven't heard anyone who test drove or owned either to complain about the seats. Jeremy is an old overweight goliath of a man, is it any surprise that only the finest seats cater to his ass?

Also people need to stop taking Top Gear so literally. It's a show that derives it's value from the entertainment it provides. You want a more technical true to heart car show, watch Fifth Gear. It's not as entertaining but much more reliable if you're looking for accurate comparisons.

I actually preferred the ST's seats over the Mustang's. I don't know why exactly. Both of their seats were big, maybe too big since I don't have a huge ass, lol. Another reason why I liked the BRZ/FRS.

[QUOTE=SVTSHC;805345]Every comparison I've seen between the stang and the 370 has put the stang ahead. Which comparison are you speaking of?

I was mocking boead's comment! In addition, I believe you've misread my mockery! "Mustangs which were pitted against my beloved 370Z and deemed more than worthy." There's a comparison vid on youtube, perhaps by Car and driver! :happy0180:

I've reviewed this posting again and it appears WE got lost along the way. The point is "what do you think about the proposed 2014.5 / 2015 Mustang?"

I may have missed some of the pics in the 1st posting....I like the rendered silver Mustang profile. I look forward to things to come!

I didn't like it at first, but the more I look at it, the better it is. I think the renders are still too DB9ish, which makes it look like a knock-off poser but it is starting to retain just enough of the Mustang "flavor" to retain just enough of the legacy to wear the pony badge.

It's not something I'd buy regardless (I'm strictly a GM guy when it comes to domestics), but Momhawk loves her Mustangs. I could see her liking these if the production looks more like these renders and less like a bigger version of the new Focus.

I test drove the ST. It certainly makes more practical sense for me. It also has more power and more easy power potential. However, the seats are just awful. Five minutes and my back hurts. Every Ford seat is like that. Crappy shoulder bolsters and no lumbar support makes for crappy crap crap. Perhaps you have a flat butt? I think Fords are made for flat butts of the world.

Oh, and resale on the ST will suck. Who's going to want a beat-upon turbo 4? Who aspires to FWD? Not me, thanks.

And the build quality of the Mustang is awful, just awful.

As for e92 money for a 'Stang, I think that's what Boss 302 people are paying. That's a car only good for the track.

Im having conversation, not an argument with you! I don't argue with the likes, sorry. If you want to buy "American" just buy Japanese.

Were those 12 matchbox cars?
...kidding, don't get all bent out of shape like a disjointed Picasso.

reminds me of when I use to valet park cars at this VERY high-end Steak House. (** Make note to never give my keys to a teenage boy valet parking cars!!)
I did that for a couple of years while in school. HAHA, had much fun and drove many expensive cars back then.
You have NO idea what we did to some.
Don't worry though, Karma paid me back since then.

Of the Big-3 I like Ford the best but... still crap with a cherry on top.
