Spotted

I saw a WRB BRZ heading east on six mile by 275 yesterday at noon and I'm pretty sure it was being piloted by a member of the fairer sex. That is third unique twin I've seen in that spot in like a week.

I was also looking at cars for the missus and saw a black FR-S with tinted windows waiting for service at Victory Toyota in Canton with a vanity plate. I don't remember the exact letters left out but I think it was supposed to read "Wicked Smart"

That could have been a friend of my family. Middle-aged and blonde?

Great news and congratulations!

I was all set to be miserable today after a salt truck blasted my passenger side while I was sat in traffic, but you've cheered me right up :happy0180:

So I'm takin my car to the dealer Tuesday but before I do I want to know if anyone else is having this issue. Around 3.7-3.8k rpm in gears 1-3 (loudest in 1st) when the clutch just starts to grab, there is...for lack of better description, a honk. It literally sounds like someone is honking from a distance. I can sustain it with about 5% clutch engagement in that rpm range. It sounds a bit like a frequency resonance issue but it only started at 8600 miles and doesn't happen in the upper range gears. Also it doesn't do it when clutch is either disengaged or completely engaged. Anyone have anything similar to this?

This is a well documented occurrence. The clutch is barely engaging and the "honk" like noise is from the plates slipping together and the vibrations create the honk. Another way to make this happen and more loudly, is to rev it up to like 5 to 6k and then do the same thing. This can be caused by people unknowingly applying some gas while they let the clutch out, revving it up and spinning the plates together. Or if you rev match down shift and over shoot the RPM. Tons of people are having this issue, and I experienced it once while agressively taking some curves I had some gas bleed over into my down shift and it honked at me. I fixed my issue by cleaning up my shifts a little bit, it was easy to have some gas bleed over when I wasn't paying close attention. I would analyze the next time it happens to you in a normal driving situation and try and replicate your foot pattern and see if it is because of shifting habits. If it has nothing to do with the way you are shifting and nothing to do with slight gas bleed over I would get it checked out.

I've noticed the same as Mac. Never really considered it an issue.... guess I am just used to that type of clutch slip noise from the clutch we use in the GXP.
