Watch the presentation of the Toyota CEO, he explains getting into this car and the thrill of true driving will be the main point.

200HP and a high revving engine will be fine, of course the aftermarket will help us alot tune these cars to the max. Dont worry about that, within a year we will be seeing 500+ HP turbocharged cars. (dont start the argument about the 12.5CR now plz, its not important and easy to overcome.)

Dont focus on turbo's, parts and all that stuff, it all starts with the heart.

The estimated 7.0 secs was from 0 to 62 mph...
The supposedly got the weight down to close to 2600 pounds..we will see low 6 secs maybe upper 5 secs 0 to 60 mph times here in the states. Hopefully...

Low 6, maybe 5's !? No way.

My Ford Fiesta ST150 is a 2.0 16v, 150hp / 190nm , weighs 1137kg and does 0-62mph in 8.4s.

Toyota is 200hp / 190 some nm and 1180 kg.

The 7.0 secs for the GT86 isnt far off m8. 0-60 will be high 6's.

How fast was Celica T-sport in real life? Power to weight ratio is almost the same...

Corolla T-sport sprints in real life test 0-100km/h in 7.7 sec. So this was about 0-64mph(?). Corolla was heavier and fwd. So i personally believe that under 7s is possible for GT86.

0-100 km/h (or kph) = 0-62 mph, not 64

Dont think so, Renault Clio RS has a 2.0 200hp engine and does 0-62 in 6.9 secs.

Say RWD will do a little better, 6.5, wont be lower then that m8.

Hell a peugeot RCZ with 1.6 turbo 200hp weighs a little heavier (100kg) and does 0-62 in 7.5...

Not that its important anyway.

Thanks! I wasn't sure was it 62 or 64

But yeah, your right. 0-62 time doesn't mean a thing. It's all about the balance, fun and want-factor. This car have big mojo, i think. It look soooo goood...
