I plan on going to the BMW club event. The snow just needs to melt so I can mount these damn tires.

Lee, while your at it, ask Bruce if you need to be a member of the BMW club to participate in this event. The others would like to know this as well, and I'm not sure about it.

Got my questions answered, now how many of us 86ers are going to join?

1) Guests are allowed as long as they are not in an area where they may be affected. If they wish to volunteer to assist, they can be out on the range (replacing coves knocked over, setup, etc).

2) The students are separated into two groups. After a general meeting to describe what will happen during the day, one group will be in the classroom, the other on the track doing in-car exercises. Then they swap positions. That goes on through the day.

3) We have an area with chairs and tables (inside) and picnic tables outside, both near the classroom areas. There are no bleachers near the track, but some places to stand near the fence that has a good view of the track.

4) In general, we have no problem with GoPro Cameras but we take no responsibility for them. Also, they need to be mounted in a way that would not lead to it becoming loose and potentially injuring any of the car's inhabitants. Further, we would not like to take instruction time for you to fiddle with them.

5) Use any car, as long as it is roadworthy and up to the drills.

6) Yes, the adult courses require a BMWCCA membership. Please see BMWCCA site for other benefits.

I don't know if it's been discussed yet, but if you guys haven't done the MAC Autocross Novice school yet, it's an amazing bang for your buck. Includes some classroom time as well as a full day of runs with an instructor. Best $50 you'll ever spend on autocross.

Hi guys, hope everyone’s well. I am an optimist…. yes, I believe spring is coming, and hopefully soon. Last evening I put my summer wheels & tires back on:

And just like that....the car no longer drives like it's shot full of novocaine. Hallelujah!

I'm still waiting... I don't switch until it looks like its going to be above 40 degrees on a regular basis. Plus a possible snow/rain mix coming up on Saturday.

I will be installing some of my accumulated parts this weekend though.

Just testing the waters here, but we had a good turn out last time you guys swung by, so I figured I'd try and get a ballpark number. We're thinking about hosting a GrimmSpeed Spring Meat Meet. Everyone would be welcome to come by (maybe on a Saturday?) and hang out, enjoy some music, eat free food off the grill, maybe we'd have a discount available for the day as well.

I'm thinking late April. What's everyone else think? We would extend this invite to all of the local Subaru guys as well.

I'd love to come; I've never been. A Saturday event (mid-morning into early afternoon) sounds wonderful. Early May works much better for me, as I'll be out of town the last week of April riding motorsickles in Texas. Thanks for the invitation!! Think spring!
