Ok that was super fun!! Glad so many people were able to make it out - was great to meet everyone! Many thanks to @Extreme86 for organizing the run and heading up the "slow group"

Glad everyone's cars got home in one piece. Now I'm gonna go wash her and inspect for rock chips!

Wow! Let me just say that the "slow group" wasn't all that slow except when we encountered those motortricycles on the end of the twisties coming into Leakey and a massive RV bus pulling a vehicle on 336 after we ran the twisties on the first half of the run. (I wonder if they have a T-Shirt at the RV Park in Leakey stating "I drove my big ass RV on the Twisted Sisters"?) Anyway, we were heckled by the "fast group" because they insisted we drove slow when we had interference encounters on the run with slow drivers!!!

There was an incident involving a motorcyclist on the twisty between Camp Wood and Leakey. Appears he had to lay his bike down on a turn and hit the guardrail. EMS and police were there and radar detector gave an early warning. Unfortunate and sobering to see that happen.

10 participants today!!! It was a pleasure being a part of this fine group of folks...made my day doing the run and visiting with everyone! Fun!!! Thanks to all for attending!!!!! We missed the folks who couldn't make it today!!!

Thanks for setting this up. Great first time out with the San Antonio group. I think my "manufacturers suggested break in period" is over. I have about 35-40 photos if anyone is interested. Not sure the best method to post them for access, but let me know if you're interested/have ideas on best location. -Mike

AWESOME day on the Sisters today!!! Thank you @Extreme86 for organizing and @tuckdaddy for leading the way for the "Fast" group, it was a blast keeping up with you most of the time, it was a blast all the time...just kept up most of the time... And thanks to all in attendance, awesome group. I've got a bunch of GoPro footage to go thru, find the best parts and figure out how to get rid of the wind noise but will try to get something posted eventually

Ill be working on the go pro footy tomorrow! Had an absolute blast and hope I wasn't too fast for the fast group! Loved being out in front! The car spoke to me all day! Swear it loves me!

I'm making a motion for having a run out on the twisted sisters once a month on weekends that everyone can do!

I saw a few of you guys on 16 when I was driving to The Apple Store in Medina with the family around 3:00pm. Sounds like it was a good time.

You did some excellent driving out there! Next time, the designations ought to be "Team A" and "Team B"...nothing "slow" about your driving at all!!!

We definitely fared better than that one motorcycle dude we saw that encountered the guardrail! Glad you enjoyed the experience. Every run is a bit different from the one before it! Keeps me coming back for more!

Mike, so very glad you and the Mrs. showed up. What a surprise! Hope you will join up with us some more in the near future. You can attach pics to your posts on here (this thread - reply and click Manage Attachments and upload) or upload them to sites like photobucket for linking or viewing. Would love to see some of the keepers for sure...especially the one at Whataburger where we are standing by our cars!

On the way to Leakey we stopped at the Apple Store (to clarify - no computers or iproducts are sold there) and I had to have some apple ice cream and bought 2 apple turnovers to bring home for later!!! Yum.

I don't think there are any complaints, Tuck! Even your car told me it likes the loving care you give it!!!! You guys were meant for each other!!!!!

All in favor? (AYE!) Motion carries. Now, we need to figure out dates that don't coincide with other activities like autox, car shows, etc. Even if it works out to every month or month and a half for a large group like yesterday, that would be fun and doable! In between times, we've had a good showing at Coffee & Rides and the week you, Alex and I drove the Sisters afterwards; it was a blast, too!

Hey, let us know when your son Derik can head over this way again! Could be that will be our next "organized" run!

Meantime...Tucker, we need to develop some kind of calendar link showing all the scheduled stuff going on so we can target / plan some tentative Twisted Sister dates without stepping on anyone's toes. Any ideas? I know we won't make everyone happy but, when we set yesterday's date for the Sisters run I/we didn't consider the cup cake meet and that wasn't deliberate...we just didn't know at the time. My bad for not checking into it more.

Thanks for all the appreciation remarks! I'm honored to be a part of the group and if anyone else wants to plan a meet or organize a sister's run, please feel free to do so. Tucker started this thread as a sounding board for meets, runs and shoots so, fair game for anyone to plan an event.

I totally enjoyed it yesterday, too...heck, even met Mary Tanner in Camp Wood, a snow bird originally from Idaho driving a yellow 2008 VW Beetle....she loves cars and car shows!!! She was a talker. Her son races cars. We stopped briefly at the Camp Wood Post Office parking lot and she came by to mail a letter and was excited to see us in our cars....even made her home available to us to use her restroom but, told Tim he could "just go over there and use that tree...she didn't mind"! No where else but, Texas!!! We might even see her at an upcoming Coffee and Rides. She was game to go!

@Extreme86 Not too sure how I would go about keeping a calendar in the forum but would love to! it would keep everything more organized!

Also like John mentioned above the reason for this thread is to pitch shoots, runs, meets, mod days and all that stuff! Pitch anything and everything!
