I just use a seat cover over the rear seats. Indy our Cavalier either rides in the back if I'm on my own, or on my fiance's lap if we're both in the car. We just wrap her in a towel if she's dirty.

She only weighs a bit under 7kg though.

Not for the foreseeable future. I have an Alaskan/Siberian husky. As much as I love her, I don't have the same love for the ridiculous amounts of hair she leaves everywhere.

2 dogs, not gonna happen. I would think if you have one med. size dog should work great in the front bucket seat.
My dogs wont seperate, so they stay in pickup truck with the moutain bike, hitting the trail.

My shiba-inu yes anytime cause she doesn't shed except right after heat. But my miniature American escamo (I know it's spelled wrong) not a chance. He never stops shedding. I brushed him for 4 hours one day and could have done it again the next. I don't know how he does it but no not in my car.

I tried with the seats down in the back and he wasn't that comfortable, so then I tried with seats folded down and it was a little better but all the stuff in the trunk goes flying everywhere, so idk I think shotgun would be best I got a pit bull about 80 to prolly 90 pounds now lol

I've got an Australian Cattle Dog, and he gets to ride shotgun till he's heavy enough he turns on the airbag, then he goes in the back. I honestly wouldn't let a dog that's big enough to trip the airbag ride in the front, could be dangerous for both the driver and the dog. I just throw a sheet over the seat until I can get proper covers (I want leather) even then there will probably be a sheet.

I wish they'd hurry and get them produced and tested!! The Clazzio covers are the BEST and makes seats look factory leather, without the hassle of actually getting them re-upholstered.

theres already a thread that discusses this topic in the off topic section. I wrote what i thought were key points when handling a dog in this car.

Sorry I read this thread and thought it said hot dogs in the FR-S and it got me all excited. Then I see prehistoric beasts inside and realize I had been duped.

Puggle yes because she is great and just lays down and goes to sleep. Husky, absolutely not, because he can't sit his ass down in a car!!! He wanders! He even tries to get in my lap!!! Its a fairly cheap car...besides....a ripped front seat would make it "necessary" to get some racing seats

Yea, idk how my golden would do having to chill out in the back seat. She loves to roam in the car and sudden changes of direction are hard for her to handle. She'd be flying around back there...no good.

The pup can stick to my girlfriend's '12 Civic.
