I am 59. My Toyota is not brown, auto, nor particularly cheap. It is small, low, 6 speed and fast like go-kart.

Back on topic: I say bring it on! Maybe they will finally make something that I like that my wife does not think is "stupid"!

They actually did somewhat recently make Camrys with manual transmissions. My old co-worker had one... But I guess that doesn't solve the RWD problem :P

Toyota Japan does already offer a RWD Camry-like car, the Mark X.

Sell it here.

I need more space. I'd trade mine for a sedan.

Weight will NOT be like the coupe. Maybe they can slightly brand engineer any pricier models for Toyota. That gives them an excuse to remove the Altezza taillights.

Realistically this is a bit of a pipe dream since Subaru is fairly small and probably wont take on 2 more models for their showrooms at least. And, although Toyota saw the necessity to work with Subaru to get the engine and Subaru was able to utilize a mothballed production line at the Gunma Kei car facility, I don't think Toyota would give up making their own cars beyond the need for the one Scion halo model to reinvigorate the line.

Back in the day I had a new '96 Integra GS sedan. I could see something similar in the 86 line as being a viable seller. Funny thing is my next vehicle was a new '99 Integra, but this time a 3 door.

I hope so, but it's not for me unless the give it some serious turbo power. Probably going to end up importing a JZX100 tourer V.

I would like it if they used the same chassis but a different design. I dont want my BRZ/FRS/GT86 becoming an FF 15 years later like how the old ill fated Corolla became.

from a subaru perspective..kinda doesn't make a whole lot of sense to pump out a 4door.

the BRZ is already very closely priced to the WRX both at 25k. The biggest sell between the two is the doors and styling, if Toyota and Subaru blur the lines even further there are going to be sales overlaps.

I just dont see it, but of course they have done their research and if they think its viable they should go for it.

I would love to see the family expand to a 5 door hatch, sedan, and a lift back.
