FT86speedfactory bill me later?

I'm interested in buying the fortune auto coils but I don't have all the money right now. with my next two paychecks which id receive in 3 weeks i will have enough but if i could get it now with bill me later thatd be great.

problem is that i dont really trust paypal. ive always heard bad things about them. the bill me later feature says that if paid within 6 months there will be no interest. which is no problem for me since id pay it off in 3 weeks. but wondering if anyone had any problems with this feature.
also wondering if this affects your credit score in a negative way.

PS: jeremys a really awesome guy. love going to him whenever im interested in new things for my car. only reason i'm asking the forum is that he isn't associated with paypal so i thought id ask the forum.

I feel options like bill me later just breed bad financial responsibility. Why buy something when you don't have the money for it? Sure you may have the enough in 3 weeks but you never know when something may come up where that money can be used on more immediate concerns than just coil overs for your car. I dunno just my .02 why not just wait another 3 weeks to guarantee the payment?

PayPal is good if you are the buyer. If you are the seller, not only do you lose money because of the fees, but the buyer has near 100% control over the outcome of any issue that may arise.

Buyers claiming their item never showed up, PP automatically refunds them and screws the seller.

Sell a firearm part, your funds are seized for months on end.

Have your bank attached to your account? PP will take it out even without your permission to settle a claim, despite saying they will NEVER do this.

So, as a buyer you should be fine, but I will avoid using them at all costs just because of the gun thing. Sometimes companies need to learn to separate politics from their business model.

My friend, if you can't afford it right now, you shouldn't be buying it; especially if you're waiting on paychecks. In fact, if you're living paycheck to paycheck, you shouldn't be driving a new sports car. Hand the keys back to whoever helped you and rock a 87 corolla like we all first did.

However, I never have had a problem with PayPal even with high monetary transactions. Bill me later is virtually a credit card- sometimes it's nice to spread out the payment, but it always sucks when those high interest rates come into play. In your case, it seems the latter will be in your future.

i feel like you may be jumping the gun a little, or not. if hes saving some of his paychecks for the next three weeks to finance a car part, it doesnt mean he is living paycheck to paycheck. that kind of budgeting can be smart (although contrary to the premise of the original post).

i had paypal take over 800 from my checking account for no reason one time. my bank reimbursed me until paypal finally put the money back two months later. it was a big enough deal that i quit using paypal.

I guess I could be wrong, but I could also be right. Either case car parts are not a necessity. If one cannot afford it right now and it's not needed then budgeting money in order to have car parts is completely idiotic.

This is the bad thing I found on this site as a whole. People are quick to flame and it seems they troll the site looking to attack people. The OP was do you trust PayPal and the bill me later function, if you have not used it then you are not answering his question.
If he is budgeting his money and a car part is in the budget then it is a very smart move instead of using credit. Sounds like you have to win the lottery to buy car parts....

I have looked into using the Bill Me Later feature when I buy from FT86Speedfactory, mainly because I don't want to spend all that money at once. I have the money right now, but it's nice to spread it out and pay it off without interest over 6 months. I've never used it before, but I think it's a nice feature, if it works.

That wasn't my intention at all. I did answer his question; I use PayPal and haven't had any issues in the past 5 years. When the OP of any forum starts a new thread he or she are acknowledging the fact that there will be opinions stated. Am I not allowed to give my opinion? I already mentioned I could be wrong, however in hindsight, like I mentioned, as well as others, car parts are not a necessity. If I offended anyone I am truly apologetic- it was not my intentions. Calling me a troll or a critic is hypocritical, as you're attacking me (or defending the OP). I'm allowed to freely state my opinion per forum rules.
